Job Description

    The IBM API Connect team is looking for a Software Developer who loves working with high performing teams, wants to work with cutting edge Node.js / React and Golang technology, and thrives on helping customers become successful with API projects. Application programming interfaces (API) are the digital glue that links services, applications, sensors and mobile devices to create compelling customer experiences and help businesses tap into new market opportunities. They allow customer to bring new digital services to market, open revenue channels and exceed customer expectations. IBM API Connect is full-lifecycle API management solution that addresses critical aspects of the API lifecycle for both on-premises and cloud environments providing the capability to create, run, manage, secure and Socialise APIs. The API Connect team is seeking to hire a Backend developer for core product development.
    • nodejs, golang
    • k8s/OCP knowledge
    • Postgres knowledge
    • Operator knowledge including having written/worked with fixing/updating operators
    Required Technical and Professional Expertise
    • Skills with React, Redux, Node.JS, JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS
    • Experience with Agile development methodologies
    • Experience working with GitHub as source code control.
    • Excellent communication skills and technical knowledge to advise and help customers with problems.
    • Experience in Kubernetes and Container deployments
    • Experience in Golang and the Operator Framework / Any other programming language Java / C++ / C#.NET with strong Object Oriented Programming skills.
    • Security experience Familiarity with secure development and deployment best practices , User Authentication with OIDC
    • Experience Postgres or other relational database
    • 3 or more years experience in and a track record in technical support or in a customer facing role working with enterprise software
    Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
    • Ideally 3 -7 years of working experience in a similar role.
