Job Description

Employees are driven to make an impact, offer a unique value and most importantly, be part of a winning team.SOTI is looking for a Manager, DevOps with a strong DevOps (Development, Build, Infrastructure) background to join our Development team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to deliver high quality DevOps solutions by leveraging industry best practices and tools. You will work as scrum master directly with the VP, Product Development as your team s Product Owner to accommodate the development team requirements and provide necessary recommendations on optimizing Deployment pipelines.Responsibilities

  • Manage the scrum process of the team, with full accountability of the scrum results
  • People management: goal settings, follow up, performance review, one-on-one,etc This has the goal of growing every individual in the team and keeping the team focus on working together
  • Working closely with development team, and interfacing with various stakeholders to ensure successful, repeatable outcomes in the build/release/deployment pipelines
  • Help define best practices for source control, continuous integration, automated testing and release management
  • Collaborate with other engineers to share best practices and knowledge of emerging technologies as it relates to build / release / Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery and DevOps
  • Develop and maintain tools and scripts to build, deploy, test, automate and streamline product delivery from engineers to customers
  • Constant focus on maximizing availability and elasticity of the build infrastructure and minimizing build times
  • Design and implement Continuous Delivery pipeline for a diverse set of projects with stakeholders from Quality, Architecture, Engineering, and Tech Ops
  • Guide the team to Build reliable, resilient software and services that can sustain unexpected software/hardware issues
Qualifications
  • 5 years of management experience in an agile environment
  • Expert knowledge of Software Development life cycle and Agile development methodologies
  • 5 years of professional experience developing, supporting and monitoring build infrastructure
  • Proficiency in topics like: Virtualization: vagrant, VirtualBox, Hyper-V
  • Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following programminglanguage: C#, Java, C
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools: Chef, Puppet, etc.
  • Good knowledge of PowerShell and other scripting languages
  • Good knowledge of modern CI/CD tools and practices (Jenkins,GoCD, TeamCity, etc.)
  • A passion for developing well architected, elegant, CI/CD infrastructure
  • Excellent grasp of MS TFS, Visual Studio, Git and suitable build, provisioning and automation tools, like Jenkins andGoCD
