Job Description

We have immediate opening for Banner Lead DeveloperExp : 7+ YearsJob Location : Mumbai/ KolkataEssential Job Functions:

  • Understanding of Banner ERPinformation system and should include significant technical experience with the Student Information System.
  • Deep understanding of the Banner data model and XE architecture, be an expert PL/SQL programmer, knowledge of the Banner development framework and skilled at being able to extract and transform Banner data into a common standard data model.
  • Able to advise on the best technical practices with respect to Banner and its modules.
  • Able to perform systems analysis, development, and systems integration duties across multiple systems, utilizing various languages and platforms. Some server maintenance will be required at times.
  • Provides technical support for the integrated Banner/Oracle database and associated environments;
  • Supports implementation and enhancements of Banner applications and other existing/new commercial systems;
  • Performs system integration between Banner and other institutional systems;
  • Works with IT staff and end-users to identify system requirements and perform analysis of technical alternatives;
  • Performs systems analysis, design, and programming as required and develops reports/applications as necessary in support of college-wide administrative computing and business needs;
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors degree or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
  • Three years or more experience with Ellucian Banner job related functions such as in Programmer or Analyst roles.
Preferred Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, statistics or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
  • Intermediate knowledge SQL, PL/SQL programming language, and shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of Ellucian Banner database structure (table names and relationships, how to determine tables referenced by forms, etc.)
  • Knowledge of problem-solving, analysis, and documentation of Ellucian Banner functionality.
  • Knowledge of the assessment and documentation of client requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the successful implementation or maintenance of modules of Ellucian Banner and related software/user interfaces in a college or university setting.
  • Knowledge of organizational studies and end-user training.
  • Excellent skills in written and oral communications, collaboration, and customer service.
  • Ability to successfully implement or support Ellucian Banner systems in the applicable job function.
  • Ability to plan and manage complex/diverse projects; handle multiple projects; and work independently with general guidance. Must be innovative, creative, resourceful, accurate, timely, detail-oriented, and flexible to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends when necessary.
  • Ability to train and tutor effectively by conveying information about technical subjects to nontechnical audiences.
