Job Description

Position:

The Manager (Ignite) is responsible for managing, coaching, and developing the team of volunteers to maximise the impact of the education programmes. He/she will have to work closely with the other employees & volunteer teams across India towards achieving the goals of the programme.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Build a strong culture of ownership towards impactful project delivery among volunteers
  • Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation and delivery of the projects
  • Continuously monitor the effectiveness of the projects and engage all stakeholders proactively
  • Build structures, systems to support the execution of the projects in the best possible manner with a focus on continuous learning, improvement, and rapid growth.
  • Provide support to the volunteers to envision goals for their centres/cities/projects and the required guidance to meet the same
  • Should be able to manage the team and groom leaders for the future
  • Track, follow up and report on the timely implementation of the goals for the project

Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:

  • Minimum two years experience in managing a team
  • Teaching, Volunteer, leadership experience with Bhumi (preferred) or similar organisations will be helpful
  • Project coordination experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to drive outcome-oriented plans through the team s collective effort
  • Good influencing skills, people engagement, networking and listening skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Emotional maturity to empathize with the perspectives/needs of team members
  • Good computer knowledge and MS office skills
  • Highly resourceful team-player, who is self-driven
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions

Other Information:

  • Reporting to: Director, Ignite
  • Scope: Full time
  • Remuneration: Rs.5 -6 lakhs per annum
  • Minimum commitment: Three years
