Job Description

    Dear Candidate,Were Hiring for Picture EditorRoles & Responsibilities :-To assist the Content Discovery Picture Desk team with researching and sourcing images for all relevant programmes presented on our clients platforms.To manipulate images with Photoshop for size, shape, and quality.To assess images for suitability and accuracy.To alert the Picture Desk Production Manager of any difficulties or inconsistencies that may arise from such research.To act as a point of contact for all enquiries related to the sourcing of images, and to undertake the maintenance of all records and systems relating to image collation.To have a working knowledge of databases.To have abasic understandingof international copyright regulationsand to know when to seek further advice or clarification on any rights issue.To have an awareness and an understanding of how to use press and publicity image sites and picture libraries.To build and maintain contact lists and to be proactive in contacting clients and suppliers.To have a basic understanding of metadata and use of images within electronic programme guides both for broadcast and online.Ability to handle confidential information with tact and sensitivity.To constantly strive towards continuous improvement in all of output/performance on a team and individual basis.To participate fully in all appraisals, training and development, communication, and other processes in accordance with the standards and frameworks laid down by Ericsson.As a member of RBM, to positively deal with and promote change, accepting it as a way of life and treating it as business as usual activity.In line with Client Relationship Strategy to ensure that working practices are organized in such a way that supports the business needs of the client.Skills - Experience & KnowledgeDemonstrable experience, including picture research, image manipulation & maintaining databasesBasic Adobe Photoshop skills and the ability to manipulate digital imagesKnowledge of the different types of digital image formatsExcellent communication skillsDemonstrates meticulous attention to detail and accuracyHas a methodical approach towards workThorough and imaginative research skillsGood IT and keyboard skills and experience of working with new technology and equipmentAn interest in a range of television outputExperience of working successfully as an integral part of a teamDemonstrates initiatives and the ability to work flexibly and/or adapt to changing circumstancesDemonstrate effective time management and the ability to priorities own workload under pressureAn awareness of and an interest in the work of RBM and the Broadcast IndustryTo be able to cope under pressure, work to tight deadlines, and deal with the demands of a busy production officeHigh degree of motivation and ability to set out priorities and be self-directingExperience of working in a customer-focused environmentAbility to adopt a flexible approach and manage a variable workloadCompetenciesThe following competencies (behaviors and characteristics) have been identified as key to success in the job.
