Product Experience EngineerLocation Remote IrelandPosting date 1 day ago(3/2/2021 4:05 AM)Job ID 82337 Category Software Engineering Job summary The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a Product Experience Engineer to join our worldwide Portfolio Life Cycle Management team in Ireland. In this role, you will work as part of a team dedicated to delivering a unified strategy across the Red Hat portfolio. This strategy amplifies customer feedback, influences the end-to-end product development cycle, and promotes an improved customer experience with our offerings. Together with your other team members, you will collaborate with our customers and peers to better understand how Red Hat s offerings are used and improve our overall customer experience and portfolio strategy. Primary job responsibilities

  • Ability to collaborate with peers in our Product Management, Engineering, Quality Engineering (QE), Documentation, and Support teams to prioritize customer issues based on trend analysis and feedback
  • Resolve complex customer problems including test case and patch creation
  • Manage workload to ensure that all readiness and customer issues are handled and driven to resolution in a timely fashion
  • Assist in the development of comprehensive and reusable solutions for future incidents
  • Exercise sensible judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Analyze upstream development against current customer-reported product defects and develop patches to resolve issues
  • Share and improve knowledge content for offerings and technologies
Required skills
  • Bachelor s degree or higher in computer science or data science or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of experience working as a support, sustaining, or development engineer or other directly related experience in an enterprise environment
  • Passionate about both technology and customers; committed to providing the best experience possible for Red Hat s customers
  • Ability to read and write code in multiple languages, specifically Python 3 and Golang
  • Experience using Kubernetes
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and AWS S3
  • Experience using artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) tooling like Jupyter Notebook, Apache Spark, NVIDIA Cuda, or similar
  • Upstream involvement in open source projects like patches submitted for upstream inclusion is a plus
