Job Description

What You ll Do: Quark Software has an immediate opening for a high-performing Cloud/DevOp Engineer in enterprise engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a B.Tech/BE in Computer Science or MCA/MSc and experience in managing cloud operations using AWS. This fast-paced, agile position requires a team player with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a flair for creativity. This position is based in Mohali (Punjab), India. Responsibilities:

  • Manage fleet of servers and services deployed in AWS cloud
  • Manage Kubernetes cluster
  • Manage aspects of networking including VPC and VPC peering.
  • Manage logging and metrics reporting, including interfaces used at the application layer.
  • Build and manage tools to automate processes that improve onboarding of new customer, development cycle, enabling quick iteration and deployment of new features.
  • Manage update and upgrade cycles that do not require service downtime.
  • Develop and implement security practices and policies.
  • The candidate should be aware of industry best-practices, have awareness of formal accreditations such as SOC-II, and be able to make recommendations for practices and policies.
What we re looking for:
  • BE/B.Tech/MCA/MSc. from premier institute and with 7-15 years of industrial exposure.
  • Sound knowledge of Kubernetes and commonly-used tools in the Kubernetes ecosystem, e.g. Helm, Calico, Flannel.
  • Sound knowledge of Amazon Web Services, working with services and configuring for availability and security.
  • Experience with networking both on an individual server as well as virtual configuration in AWS VPCs.
  • Knowledge of Docker for the purposes of running containers in production environments.
  • Experience building, deploying and supporting infrastructure for web-scale applications.
  • Practitioners of infrastructure-as-code, continuous integration and deployment
  • Experience of tools like terraform, Salt Stack, Packer, Jenkins
  • Knowledge of one or more tools of the following is an added advantage for this profile: Riemann, OpenTSDB, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats, Tensor, StatsD, Jenkins, Phabricator, Vault, Consul
  • Knowledge of other container orchestration platforms.
