Job Profile Position Overview: The IM Operations Technology group of Morgan Stanley Investment Management is seeking a highly motivated individual with an extensive hands-on technical oversight background who is delivery focused. The candidate must have exposure to various technologies and business processes within the investment banking domain. This person would be responsible for ownership of global platforms that support the trade processing, collateral management, and operations functions for derivative trading in MSIM. The right candidate would: Manage multiple concurrent projects from inception to completion with focus develop technical solutions that are intuitive, scalable and easy/cost effective to maintain. Lead globally dispersed squads. Develop standards/practices that will increase Devops, cloud adoption, and Agile Participating in all aspects of the SDLC(design, development, testing and implementation ) Owning the development lifecycle and managing technical risks throughout the project. Possess the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities Partner with stakeholders across the technology organization to facilitate smooth delivery of projects Proactively manage and aggressively control project scope, schedule and budgets Plan, secure and direct technical resources required for service delivery Create and deliver presentations or reports on project details, to include progress, issues, risks, financials, recommendations, and other metrics as required Other responsibilities as required, * Skill Set Qualifications: Required Experience: 10 to 15 years with experience of managing a technical team preferably in the investment banking domain. Skill Set: Full Stack Development Primary skills: 1. Strong development experience in Java (1.8 and above) and Spring and Sprint Boot framework. 2. Working knowledge of JavaScript and advanced version (React and/or Angular) 3. Strong knowledge of Microservices / Service Oriented Architecture / Restful services 4. Strong knowledge of SQLs and writing optimized queries/stored procedures with any relational database 5. Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments 6. Experience in Devops, Test Driven Development. 7. Strong development skills with ability to understand technical design and translate the same into workable solution. 8. Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and work on the same to meet business requirements. 9. Excellent communication and technical writing. Good to have skills: 1. Experience working in Agile Teams.Deep understanding of trade lifecycles of complex OTC derivative products like Swaps, Options, FX Forward and other financial derivatives in the context of regulatory reporting. 2. Familiarity with standard devops tools, Jenkins, Sonar, Jira 3. Knowledge of financial technologies (e.g. FpML, Swift protocol) and business applications 4. Implementation experience in Cloud Based platforms will be a plus. Qualifications/Criterion Bachelor s Degree 10+ years of experience in related field.
