Global Asset Management Solutions Investment Director Review (IDR) Team AnalystBusiness Overview:JPMorgan Asset Management ( JPMAM ) provides investment management products and services to institutional and individual investors worldwide. It offers the full spectrum of investment strategies - from equity, cash management, fixed income, currency and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds. Global Asset Management Solutions ( AMS ) is comprised of three investment teams:

• Multi-Asset Solutions ( MAS ) group manages multi-asset funds and customized strategies to help clients reach their investment objectives, drawing upon over 40 years of experience in managing multi-asset class portfolios. The group s approach to multi-asset investing is based on a disciplined and rigorous approach integrating qualitative, quantitative and manager research components.
• Quantitative Beta Solutions ( QBS ) creates and manages quantitative, rules based strategies across a wide spectrum of exposures including strategic beta, alternative beta, custom beta solutions and thematic portfolios.
• Advisory and Core Beta Solutions ( ACBS ) manages U.S. advisory and digital portfolios, Investor Funds and equity market-cap strategies.

Role Description:The Investment Director team is a global in-business unit reporting directly to the CEO of Global Asset Management Solutions (AMS). Our mandate combines oversight of the investment process as well as investment risk management. The team conducts quarterly investment reviews of all strategies globally and works closely with the investment teams to maintain a suitable risk oversight framework. In this context IDR team serves as an embedded risk management function for the business and is distinct from the Independent Risk management team. The area of coverage includes all lines of business within AMS. The Associate based out of India will be working closely with the Investment Directors to assist with understanding the content of each fund review and help maintain a rigorous performance and risk oversight framework. The Associate will develop an understanding of the investment processes associated with a variety of AMS portfolios and will be expected to liaise with multiple groups within JPMAM.Core responsibilities:

• Support risk management and investment oversight for AMS strategies globally. Duties include facilitating the quarterly investment review process, monitoring and interpreting a wide range of risk and performance measures, maintaining an ongoing dialogue with investment teams and liaison with various corporate groups.
• Assist in automating reporting and analytical processes.
• Participate in projects developing analytical solutions, supporting infrastructure, and maintaining reporting.
• Analysis of risk profile of portfolios.
• Actively participate in formulating agenda of the Investment Director Review meetings. Assist in developing meeting materials and conduct performance and risk analysis across a wide array of products and strategies.
• Support senior team members in representation to the regional fund Boards and senior management.
• Manage investment oversight coverage of global portfolios by closely interacting with numerous stakeholder teams such as Portfolio Managers, Independent Risk Management, Business Management, Product Development, Compliance and other. A successful candidate should be comfortable building and maintaining work relationships over long distance.

Qualifications:

• Broad market, investment or risk management experience with a range of equity and fixed income products in both cash and derivatives markets. A successful candidate will have 4 or more years of experience. Background in investment management, risk, quantitative analysis, manager research or product control is preferred.
• Postgraduate with keen interest in investment and risk management. CFA or FRM qualification preferred.
• Python programming skills required to support risk analysis and process automation.
• Ability to leverage technology in process automation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical.
• Understanding of multiple asset classes, portfolio management practices, and the asset management business is a plus
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills (including data analysis and ability to understand data flows)
• Strong interpersonal & organizational skills
• Ability to foresee problems/think ahead and ask relevant questions - instead of just plain execution
• Time management skills & ability to multi-task
• Delivery focus and detail-orientation with strong commitment to accuracy
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task across a wide range of investment strategies, products and global teams.
