Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Commitment to quality and attention to detail is the single most important aspect of this job role.
  • This position requires you to be a dynamic individual who can not only manage a team of skilled quality assurance engineers but also work as an individual contributor within the same team.

Managerial Tasks: 30%

  • Deliver all releases on time while ensuring quality of the deliverables is not impacted.
  • Work with Product Manager and Development Manager to understand the product requirements and identify requirement gaps and be able to provide testing estimates.
  • Utilize experience (technical, functional, and managerial) to create test strategies and execution plans to be able to deliver releases as per business needs.
  • Understand the team skillset and plan trainings as per changing business needs.
  • Conduct frequent One-On-One sessions with the team members, give constructive and timely feedback and carry out year-end reviews.

Individual Contributor Tasks: 70%

  • Create and execute test plans (scenarios/cases/bug triage) to certify that software meets the requirements.
  • Review test artifacts created by team members.
  • Work with development in an agile delivery methodology to capture defects early in the lifecycle.
  • Work with automation engineers to get best ROI by identifying automation candidates.
  • Manage test environments and be able to set up application servers and deploy software artifacts. Key Skills 3+ years of experience in managing quality assurance team.
  • Have a sound understand of client server architecture.
  • Experience in designing and driving overall validation test strategy (manual automation covering functional and non-functional aspects) for large development projects.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Be able to write complex SQL queries and have exposure to Linux operating systems.
  • Experience in Agile methodology is a Plus. Desirable Skills Knowledge of Capital markets, trade lifecycle, cash management, reconciliation s domain is an added advantage.
  • Automation testing background.
  • Experience in Performance and Security testing.
  • Knowledge of docker. Qualifications Engineering graduate or above from an accredited College or University (or equivalent)
  • Domain certification in investment banking/Technical domain is good to have Experience Have a minimum of 12 experience in various QA roles.
  • Proven track record performing team lead responsibilities - mentoring and guiding team members.
  • Have strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC and bug life cycle.
  • Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience of interacting with senior management frequently.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment, keep pace with technical innovation.
  • Experience in handling multiple projects with changing priorities and meeting concurrent deadlines.
  • Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members.
