Job Description

As an Business Data Analyst within the ELA Product Management Team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of content analysis, curation and review. They will participate in the implementation of data sources in an internal system, and liaising with Legal and Technology partners to define and implement the strategic vision for the application and data it houses. Part of the role will be to work with Product owners to document user stories, participate in planning sessions and also work with developers, business SME s and other team members to analyze user stories and requirements. You will create test cases, test plans, and other test artifacts in addition to executing test cases and triaging defects. Performing analysis of business requirements and system specifications in this role will be critical. In addition, you will provide specific details on issues; working with Product owners and ELA Technology team to track and verify resolution of issues. You will also own the creation and delivery of training to business functions on new enhancements and functionality

  • Execute standards and methodologies for the implementation of content from externally sourced locations or vendors
  • Curate content to identify rules for industry and JPMC metadata tags on ingested content
  • Work with the data research team to review and enhance rulesets for data tagging
  • Work with content ingestion quality assurance processes and support interactions with content vendors
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on user analytics to extract useful intelligence and tell a clear story on program performance and risk issues to senior management
  • Work with the Legal department to define standards for citation management
  • Assist product owners in ongoing PO work
  • Manage interactions with third-party content vendors, technology partners, and application users
  • Manage project and client relationships for applicable engagements
  • Review and answer inquiries regarding regulatory data sources, processes, and overall issue management
  • Track, manage, and report data workflows and associated metrics with high attention to detail
  • Gather and organize large data sets for ingestion into research applications/environments
  • Provide quality assurance and quality control support to the internal application when necessary
QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience:
  • 2-4 years of experience in operational or technology risk management analysis
  • 1-2 years of working with regulatory content preferred (e.g., laws and regulations)
  • XML experience a plus
  • Background experience in agile application development
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with little oversight
  • Ability to learn new applications and processes with relative ease
  • Ability to take current processes and streamline more efficient methods
  • Ability to perform analysis on disparate data in relation to current goals and projects
  • Ability to parse through large quantities of raw data, extract useful intelligence, and articulate a clear message for senior management
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders that range from peers to executive management
  • Ability to generate ad hoc analysis and reports
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Microsoft PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Access, and Project expertise
  • Experience with legal terminology is a plus
  • Experience with legal work processes is a plus
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Background in enterprise technology implementations and support of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Project management experience, including managing both subordinate and peer-level resources in project execution
  • Background experience in working with regulatory content a plus
