Job Description

Position PurposeProject management cum COO office team member

  • To work as project manager for the India Projects Portfolio.
  • Facilitate Outsourcing arrangements for India branch
  • MIS for Management
Responsibilities Direct Responsibilities Project Management (both IT and process driven projects)
  • Undertake the pre initiation tasks for the projects and prepare the blueprint
  • Identify the SPOCs representing Business, User groups, Application owners, Developers, Testers, Vendor(s), etc.
  • Define committees (objectives, frequency and attendees)
  • Follow AND/OR chair the committees, schedule them, prepare presentation packs and maintain minutes
  • Ensure decisions are taken at right time by appropriate people
  • Unblock situations in order to ensure smooth project progress
  • Conduct project workgroup and stakeholder meetings and compile project progress reports with appropriate KPIs / metrics .
  • Define deliverables, resource requirements and work plan for the project, and manage their development and delivery.
  • Estimate and plan projects from start to finish, with built in contingencies.
  • Present and have approved budget for the project
  • Ensure that the project is delivered within the financial requirements of the Business Unit.
  • Include budget monitoring in Steering Committee agenda
  • Manage contracting with vendors and ensure availability of internal resources is secured in advance of need
  • Engage multiple vendors, as necessary and assist in the selection process for the appropriate vendor
  • Ensure projects meet industry leading processes and quality standards .
  • Liaise with, monitor and motivate the cross functional team assigned to the project.
  • Identify, highlight and manage project risks & issues .
  • Developing effective working relationships with internal and external teams (vendor) and ongoing management processes for the project.
  • Work closely with representatives of sponsor / users to understand the business requirement and priorities of the project .
  • Facilitate project audits and maintain appropriate project documents.
Facilitating Outsourcing arrangements
  • Co-ordination with stakeholders for completion of SLA draft and reviews.
  • Co-ordination with LOMC members for necessary approvals with required documents
  • Co-ordination with the Region for documenting/ approval of SLAs
  • Managing of Third Party outsourcing agreements and reporting
  • Maintaining the repository on pipeline and completed SLAs
  • Facilitating audit requirements and overall outsourcing arrangements as per defined guidelines /policies
MIS Reporting
  • Compilation of MIS Reports by analysis data / information
  • Co-ordination between departments of branch and preparing MIS Dashboards for management as well as region

Qualifications Technical & Behavioral Competencies Technical:
  • Strong project management skills and some experience on working on regulatory projects
  • Good Analytical and presentation skills
  • Ability to work with global teams
  • IT as well as process driven projects skills
  • Good understanding of SDLC Methodologies and Operating models ( Agile/ Waterfall )
  • Skills for establishing and implementing entry and exit criteria for processes related to project tasks / activities
  • Understanding of Banking products and Solutions
  • Good at Excel and power point presentations skills

Specific Qualifications (if required)
  • B.E / CA / MBA
  • Experience of 7+ years in relevant area
  • 5 or more years of project management experience
  • Strong experience in working with teams located at multiple locations
  • Experience in working with vendors
  • Data analysis and problem solving skills
  • Certification in project management will be added advantage
