    Group Lead Design Engg - Electrical DMD

    Job Responsibilities :.
    • Responsible for Performance monitoring & benchmarking
    • Maintain Statutory and regulatory compliance
    • Provide Support to minor projects at existing sites and new projects.
    • Coordinate with site counterparts for regular information sharing
    • Ability to Minimize production/ quality loss in event of unplanned failure
    • Evaluation of Repairs & refurbishment facilities
    • Ensure Harmonization of standards for equipment from different vendors and product groups
    Job Description (Specific To Position) Job Purpose To provide guidance and supervision to the team assigned & plan, monitor & control the team activities. To manage project activities through periodical reports & provide feedback of the project progress to the Project Management Team/HOD. Job Accountabilities Duties & Responsibilities Supervision & providing technical guidance to team of engineers assigned to him
    • To supervise a team of electrical engineering personnel
    • To determine division of responsibilities within the team
    • To select and assign proper manpower for specific jobs
    • To keep a check on quality of deliverables
    • Vendor capability evaluation and selection of technology
    Engineering processes, procedures, project specification & deliverables review & management
    • Review of project specifications, procedures and design basis
    • Review of engineering guidelines
    • Review of project specific quality plan and quality procedures
    • Review and improve engineering processes
    Planning, monitoring, controlling team activities and give reports to Project Management Team/HOD/Head specific projects/clusters
    • Review of project Electrical Design Basis
    • To coordinate with other agencies and departments
    • Provide status reports and feedback of team activities to HOD
    Providing proposal support to HOD or Engineering Discipline Leads (Project cluster/site)
    • Review of electrical budget estimate for the projects
    • Review of man hours estimate
    Keeping abreast of latest development in the industry
    • To participate in technical forums and seminars
    • Continuously review obsolescence of equipment/systems technology and evaluate application of new & profitable technologies including renewable energy
    Implementation of performance management system within team
    • To conduct performance appraisal of subordinates
    • To identify specific areas of improvement of subordinates

    Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)Necessary:
    • B.E / B.tech (Electrical / Power Electronics)
    • 18-23 years experience in Engineering/Projects plants electrical distribution systems
    Desirable:
    • M.E / M.Tech in Power Systems
    • Familiarity to power system analysis & protection coordination
    • Familiarity of various software tools of electrical designs i.e. cables sizing, switchgears, earthing & lighting calculations, SPEL, ETAP etc.
    Education Requirement : Diploma/Bachelor#s degree in Engineering (Discipline Specific details in Additional Info) Experience Requirement : At least 10 years (for Degree)/15 years (for Diploma) of maintenance experience Skills & Competencies :Leadership, strong interpersonal, Managerial, organizing and co-ordinating skill Self-motivated and strong organizational skill Delegation skill and prioritization time management skill .,
