Chief Finance Officer - NBFC/Lending Firm

Job Description

The position is responsible for developing and leading the execution of the Finance function, including strategic planning and execution of the business plan, management of short-term and long-term financial resources, cash flow planning, accounting, audit, tax compliance, regulatory and statutory compliance, budgeting, forecasting and financial MIS. Key Result Areas: Strategy:- Review the Companys performance continuously versus the business plan and the Companys long term strategy- Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO- Engage the Boards audit and other committees on financial delivery- Establish, implement, monitor and review monthly / quarterly / half-yearly / yearly objectives and goals for the Company- Build highly effective systems, processes, policies and procedures to mitigate financial and other risks- Be responsible for asset liability management and support Treasury to meet the objectives in this respect, with minimal gaps- Budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the Companys strategic plan.Financial and Operational Management:- Enable on-time disbursements to customers and dealers, assist in recoveries and develop processes, policies and procedures in this behalf- Resource planning and mobilization in line with requirements of the Company. Plan, implement and review budgets, accounts and taxation requirements of the Company- Ensuring compliance with appropriate Accounting Standards, regulatory and statutory- Manage cash flows and forecasting- Optimize the handling of banking relationships, in close coordination with the group Treasury- Be responsible for budgeting and implementation of budgets so as to monitor progress and present financial metrics both internally and externally- Monitor the Companys performance continuously in keeping with the business plan and guidelines laid down by CEOCompliance:- Drive the effective implementation of sound controls in accordance with the Finance Process and Procedures and the local market regulatory environment.- Create, implement and enforce a culture of compliance in the Company.- Develop, implement and continuously review a high degree of internal controls, checks and balances and safeguards- Be responsible for filing of tax returns of the Company on time and perfectly- Be responsible for the effective conduct and completion of statutory, tax and other audits- Be responsible for the completion of tax filing and compliance - Build a highly effective IT-enabled environment in Finance- Vetting of financial plans and other financial reporting relating to entire operations before submission to CEO Others: - Act as a cultural ambassador, constantly communicate and demonstrate the way and Code of Conduct- Cooperate with other business areas, especially with their Finance Controllers in meeting company-wide objectives- Perform other special or non-routine tasks as assignedEducation & Experience:- CA or MBA (Finance). Additional qualifications / training programs attended in the area of Management will be an added advantage.- Minimum 15 years related experience in the financial services or in the finance function of reputed companies in India or abroad. - 5 to 7 years in NBFC or Lending Firm.- Demonstrated ability / track record of managing relationship with banks and resource mobilization Competencies & Skills: - Outstanding analytical skills- Ability to take decisions, rational judgment and demonstrated execution track record- High level of performance with uncompromising standards of integrity- Ability and proven track record to communicate effectively with all the stakeholders involved, including at very senior levels such as the Board of Directors- Ability to interact comfortably at all levels in the organization- Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English- An energetic go-getter, motivator and creative individual with high work ethics- Ability to see the big picture and help implement the companys strategy as a team player- Proven ability to manage multiple projects/issues and stay focused- Target-driven, self-motivated and willing to take responsibility- Proficiency in the use of MS Office application,
