Position SummaryThis Business Manager role (Associate) sits within the Finance & Business Management (F&BM) department of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) supporting the APAC Wholesale Payments Business. This role reports to Wholesale Payments Regional Hub Business Manager Lead.Responsibilities

  • Support the Representative Offices in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in managing their ongoing business activities.
  • Work with Senior Business Managers to support Wholesale Payments South Asia Business Heads and Regional Core Cash Product Head with financial planning, forecasting, business reviews and senior management presentations, client and product analysis support, multi-year growth initiatives tracking and any other product strategic reviews.
  • Develop essential strategic responses to product evolution analyses -- performing objective reviews of issues, weaknesses, gaps within industry and/or regions.
  • Actively participate and present location interests in global or regional WP task groups, e.g. front office reporting tools, sales pipeline monitoring, strategic initiatives and opportunities tracking, among others.
  • Responsible for weekly/monthly/quarterly analysis of performance, pipeline, new business development, trends, issues and opportunities to expand the business (e.g. cross-border, global trade)
  • Build effective partnerships with business and functional peers to manage the end to end business environment (Real Estate, Compliance, HR, Marketing, and others)
  • Collaborate effectively with BMs from other Lines of Business (eg. Commercial Bank, Global Corporate Bank etc) and work as a bridge to align business strategy and focus with other regions (North America, EMEA and LATAM)
  • Coordinate where needed, ad-hoc regulatory or compliance requests and work with the business and respective functional partners.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-4 years of relevant work experience in a Finance, Business Management, Strategy or Product Management function.
  • Knowledge of the Liquidity, Cash Management and Trade Finance is required.
  • Meticulous, detailed and accurate with financial data and analysis.
  • Possess strong understanding and practical application of MIS reporting, Tableau and analytical toolkits
  • Strong ability to synthesize and articulate data/performance results to a diverse audience (working group, senior management)
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated and effective under tight timeframes and pressure
  • Creative and a self-starter with ability to take ownership
  • Strong work ethics, ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet key deadlines with sense of urgency.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a good team player.
  • Highly independent with strong ability to work efficiently with partners in the region and globally
  • Very high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
