In accordance with applicable law, we make reasonable accommodations for applicants and employees religious practices and beliefs, as well as any mental health or physical disability needs.Role DescriptionThe Trade Finance Processing team focuses on developing & delivering business solutions related to the trade finance products offered by banks, including transactions such as import & export bills, foreign bill collection, bankers acceptances/reimbursements, letters of credit and open account trading. The team also provides transactional-based expertise to the business to ensure accurate and timely conduct in accordance with ICC guidelines, bank procedures & trade finance policy manual. The role requires a good understanding of risk management, transaction processing, retail banking, wholesale banking, trade settlements and trade processing.The team is seeking a high performing Associate candidate for a Business Analyst & change Management role based out of Mumbai. The successful candidate will be involved in working with Business users / teams to define & understand the Business requirements and then partner with other project / program stakeholders to successfully drive the Technology delivery. Understanding business requirement, project planning, execution, senior management reporting & other stakeholder updates (through scorecards, project plans, excellent power point presentations) and communication are key to driving the success of the roleThis role provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a large, multi-year, cross-LOB program (CIB, AWM, CB) partnering with representatives from across the organization including Operations, Technology, Product and Data Science groups.This role requires the candidate to work in EMEA Hours.Key responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Gather and understand Business requirements
  • Pre-ABC discussion with Tech team
  • Document Business use case (as per the requirements) to size the requirement benefits, scope statement, potential risks for presentation to Global Program for budget and other necessary approvals
  • Prepare detail Project plan (using MPP tool or Excel version) covering all aspects and dependencies of the projects (example schedule, tasks, risks etc.)
  • Manage reporting to senior management, program sponsors and other forums as appropriate (using strong PowerPoint presentations and project scorecards / updates)
  • Timely reporting on updates;
  • Ensure proactive and clear communication to stakeholders as appropriate
  • Preparing training materials and schedule sessions for the staff to achieve operational readiness
  • Provide user support and ensure complete post analysis documentation
  • Reporting issues to programme team and follow up for resolution and prioritization
  • Provide Post implementation support to operations
  • Tracking any production issues and prioritization of the same
Required Skills and QualificationsThe successful candidate needs to have a background in Business Analysis and Change management delivery and possess core project management skills around governance and senior management reporting. Must have strong business analysis skills and be able to demonstrate a structured approach to problem solving, as well as having excellent written and oral communication skills. The individual should be confident in dealing with staff at all levels, with a can-do personality to ensure issues get resolved and a strong sense of ownership. We work towards deadlines so it is crucial that the candidate is able to work under pressure. Core Skills:
  • 8+ years of Change Management or Project Management Experience and tools for managing projects
  • Experience of working on large-scale cross-LOB programs desirable
  • Business Analysis skills, ability to understand complex workflows and offer solutions
  • Exceptional organizational skills, be able to prioritize demands/tasks based on priority level
  • Strong analytical ability with experience in analysing and synthesizing large data sets
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and capable of developing strong story boards to support senior management update
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle, supporting documentation and control related requirements
  • Strong level of proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project)
  • Knowledge of Global Trade Finance business (i.e. lifecycle of Import and Export across the border and Banking involvement in the process) will be an advantage
