Responsible for the management and administration of all claims filed Globally.Responsible for the coordination with local Front desk and guiding them with regards to claim handling and follow up on third party recoveries. Provide proactive, efficient, and fair assessment of claims and obtain best possible claims and recovery settlement for the Group.Provide technical expertise and advice related to incidents, claims matter and loss prevention initiatives. Able to attend and resolve queries of various stakeholder s independently.Key TasksClaims1.Handling cargo Claims as per the set guidelines.2.Having a customer centric approach at the same time keeping in mind the legal requirement and closing claim within legal ambit.3.Establish appropriate claims handling relationship in respective management area;4.Assess and document factual background of claims matters; establish and update claims file.5.Safeguard rights of recovery and drive recovery actions.6.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, such as claimants (customer, recovery agents, Lawyer, Under writer) third party claims administrators etc.7.Coordinate with P&I Club / correspondents as needed to secure our interest.8.Ensure all document related to claims are stored electronically and enter / update data in the claims data base (case management) according to process guidelines9.Manage and settle claims matters in accordance with process guideline.10.Provide advice and support / assistance to team members and local claim desk on claim related matters.11.Keeping data quality at top level;12.Identify gaps and formulate, drive and/or support corrective / loss prevention initiatives.13.Continually monitor procedures and business practice and take measures to correct instances where Maersk is exposed to risk or financial loss.Show More We are looking forExperience:1.Minimum of 3 years of working experience within Shipping, Logistics, Marine surveyor, or insurance Industry.2.Exposure to shipping operations preferable.3.Experience in core claims handling (E2E) (which includes Pre-claims handling and independent quantified claim handling) will be an added advantage.Special Skills (Functional/Technical):1.Good Analytical skills.2.The knowledge of structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.3.The knowledge of local maritime laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the political process directly impacting claims handling of the region.4.Good Comprehension skills5.Excellent team player6.Well organized to carry out multi-task7.Flexible with changes8.Take ownership of the job assigned9.Eye for the details10.Strong values and commitment.Show More,
