Whether it s our Engineering teams that need a test environment or our software running in production, we are seeking skilled systems management professionals ready for the challenge.Your Role and Responsibilities Who you are: As an IBM Technical Solution Architect, you will be working with some of the best minds in the industry to create innovative high-quality solutions focused on clients business needs using IBM Cloud Offerings and Services. It will cultivate and use in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technology, coupled with his/her industry and business skills, to influence clientsYou will be responsible for creating solution design/architecture and corresponding bill of material based on client s requirements and using various IBM Cloud Offerings and services, while helping to identify (and avoid) potential problems, to ultimately ensure the success of solution construction, implementation and system integration. This will routinely involve doing deep technology discussions with customers and conducting proof-of-concept implementation.As a technical expert, it will be required to provide guidance on implementation of proposed solution/architecture. This would include guidance on infrastructure / platform sizing, deployment considerations and glue code for systems integration.What you ll do:

• You will be subject matter expert on various areas of Platform-as-a-Service, IT Infrastructure - server, storage, network, virtualization & consolidation, software defined environments, VPC and security. Should have hands on experience in the field of virtualization technologies from (at least one vendor) IBM, VMware, Microsoft, Red Hat and a good grasp of Cloud Computing concepts and building blocks of creating an end-to-end private and public IaaS / PaaS cloud solutions.
• You will be a deep technical expert on micro-services architecture for taking customer through Journey to Cloud via application modernization and refactoring.
• Will be required to engage with IBM clients at business level, understanding security/compliance requirements, translating them to technology solutions, writing scope-of-work and presenting technical solutions to them. Must be able to manage large and complex projects working in a matrix environment.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Total experience of 8-12 years with Relevant and proven experience (5-7 years) in following subject matter areas

• Infrastructure (Server/Storage/Network) sizing, consolidation, virtualization and thin-provisioning
• Hyper-visors KVM/RHEV, VMware vSphere/ESX, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix Xen
• Software/Application development Any high-level programming language, UNIX Shell Scripting, Python, Node.js
• Networking Legacy Networking and Software Defined Networking, VMware NSX, Calico, StrongSwan
• Storage Legacy Storage and Software Defined Storage, Object Storage
• Security Deep understanding of application security, server, storage and network security measures, Fortigate, Identity and Access Management, F5 BIG-IP, Juniper vSRX
• Operating Systems Microsoft Windows, Linux (Any Distribution)
• Databases MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, IBM Cloudant, MongoDB, etcd
• Cloud Platforms IBM Cloud, AWS, GCP, Azure

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Deep understanding of Infrastructure virtualization and consolidation, PaaS services as listed above
• Proven expertise in developing IT infrastructure, Cloud Native solutions with high availability, disaster recovery and data migration
• At-least some level of programming experience or penchant for developing glue code
• Deep understanding of DevOps
