Job Description

    Job descriptionThe Opportunity :Our ideal candidate would be creative, articulate with a flair for writing and storytelling. She or he must be able to develop engaging content from scratch, for multiple formats, tailored to diverse audiences, but mostly SME retailers. He or she must have a passion and drive to make an impact on the world through his or her words.Responsibilities :- Develop and evolve content and communications at our organization, across multiple channels and formats to drive product engagement and increase the companys profile with our SME retailer partners- Understand and be able to communicate big trends in retail to our retailer base across platforms.- Build a product personality through innovative content across multiple product channels, including- Apps- Blogs- SMS / IVR- Marketing materials, such as fliers, signs and call scripts- Articles- Website- Video scripts- Social media- Newsletters- Develop engaging content in local vernacular as appropriate i.e. Hinglish, Hindi, and ideally Marathi or Kannada- Research and study the attitudes, behaviors, information consumption habits and communication styles of our partners and their members for great, cutting-edge content- Skilled at both long-format content creation and real-time content creation- Maintain a consistent, coherent tone across all content- Working closely with the teams such as marketing, product development and user experience on new ideas, creative strategic directions and implementation- Prioritize tasks to keep multiple projects moving in a timely manner in order to meet deadlinesRequirements :- Bachelors degree- 2 + years work experience in any related industry- Excellent creative and research writing skills; fast and dynamic writer and storyteller- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Hindi and ideally one other language- Familiarity with social media, WordPress and PowerPoint- Proven ability to communicate effectively across all marketing channels- Strategic thinker who plays close attention to detail- Team player who takes ownership of work is detail and deadline oriented, with a strong work ethic- Familiarity with the Mumbai urban market and our target group preferred- High ethical standards- Comfortable with ambiguity and unpredictable work hoursCompensation & Logistics :This is a full-time opportunity. Compensation is based on qualifications and experience, in line with an early stage startup. The position is based in Mumbai, India, and the candidate must live in Mumbai or be willing to relocate.
