Job Description

    As a key member of the Finance team, the Finance Controller (FC) will support and assist theLeadership team to leverage finance as a pillar of growth and provide financial and operationalinsights. The FC will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managingand controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, payroll, finance, budgeting, and investor reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesFinance Planning and Analysis:
    • Business partnering with the Founders Office and other functional leaders. Participate and
    drive short term and long-term business strategies.
    • Design and prepare Annual Operating Plans, track the progress and provide insights for course
    corrections.
    • Monthly MIS review along with CEO and Business team and bringing insights in terms of
    performance and independent point of view on performance and projections for rest of the year.
    • Design and build reporting templates, for internal and external stakeholders, that are
    appropriate for the nature of the business.
    • Partner with business teams and assist in growth optimisation and cost control activities.
    • Assist and support the Leadership team in fundraising activities by sharing financial
    information that is complete, accurate, and on a timely basis.
    • Ensure smooth completion of financial and legal due diligence with accurate and complete
    responses to the queries raised by the consultants.
    • Scenario analysis of performance basis different business environment
    • Cost, capital and commercial focus in the Business performance review
    Accounting - Financial & MIS:
    • Responsible for Financial and Management Accounting of the company in compliance with
    accounting standards, policies, processes and control guidelines. Timely closure of Fiscal yearaudit (Tax & Statutory audit).
    • Monthly MIS preparation and reporting of financial and operational metrics.
    • Hire and build a lean with a focus on building capacity and capabilities of the finance function.
    • Ensure full compliance with applicable statutes, discharge of statutory liabilities, and filing of
    returns under respective laws within due dates.
    • Liaise and coordinate with Legal and Secretarial teams.
    Treasury:
    • Cash flow management - providing timely and cost-efficient liquidity for the business.
    • Track and monitor monthly cash burn and drive initiatives to reduce the cash burn.
    • Periodic review and monitoring of accounts receivables, accelerate collections and mitigate the accumulation of accounts receivable balances.
    System and Processes:
    • Work on improving existing processes and systems, strengthening controls, and improving
    efficiencies through automation.
    • Participate and work on organisation-wide Functional initiatives in areas such as growth
    acceleration, productivity improvement, and cost optimization measures.What are we looking for:
    • An Ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with 6+ years of post-qualification
    experience, preferable with a high growth startups.
    • Handled Big4 firms with respect to financial audits and due diligence.
    • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
    • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
    • Should have excellent, communication and leadership skills.
    • Highly data-driven, analytical in problem-solving, and with a mindset of system design.
    • Drive for excellence.
