This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base.The Role ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Global Head, Strategy & Transformation for the Technology & Innovation group, T&I the Head of Ways of Working will be responsible for supporting the definition, management and implementation of the nWOW Transformation Strategy for the Technology and Innovation group (excluding SC Ventures). Strategy

  • With a mandate from the Group Chief Digital, Technology & Innovation Officer (CDTIO) and its associated autonomy and authority, drive adoption of the new Ways of Working across T&I where relevant and support teams in taking on parts of these ways of working where appropriate
  • Bring together the various functional and domain Heads and Leads of Transformation across T&I, to share best practices and foster a more holistic and efficient approach to new Ways of Working Transformation
  • Create and evolve a consistent measurement approach and system, to improve the T&I transformation and challenge non-value-add metrics, in alignment with Group Strategy
  • Support the functions and domains within T&I so that their transformation and approach aligns with the goals of their respective business partners
  • Facilitate successful adoption of hybrid working across T&I
  • Bridge the gap between the new Ways of Working and hybrid working and harness these to support the Bank in delivering Chapter 3
Business
  • Be aware of and understand the wider business, economic and market environment in which the group operates
  • Influence the T&I delivery responses and solutions to critical business problems
  • Forge deep relationships with CIO business lines to ensure understanding and alignment of T&I transformation strategy
  • Drive the development and adoption of new Ways of Working, including Agile, Client Obsession, Continuous Improvement, hybrid working, and any associated processes or tools, to be used by different businesses/functions/geographies
  • Partner with the Group Transformation Office to optimise transformation efforts and ensure alignment with Group Transformation strategy
People and Talent
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values
  • Set appropriate tone and expectations from the team and stakeholders
  • Partner with Group HR to support the embedding of hybrid working and new Ways of Working across T&I and beyond
Risk Management
  • Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group, as well as have firm treatment plans for all such risks and delivering on the treatment plans. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them
  • Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment within the T&I Strategy & Transformation organisation
  • Act quickly and decisively when any risk and control weakness becomes apparent and ensure they are addressed within an appropriate timeframe and, if necessary, escalated through the relevant committees
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 15 years in Technology Delivery and large-scale Transformation with experience in Agile Ways of Working, Human-Centred Design, Continuous Improvement, and Change Management
  • Excellent organisation and leadership skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively prioritise
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels
  • Mandatory Skills: Process Re-engineering, Digital Transformation, Technology Transformation, Workforce Transformation, etc.
  • Able to manage Risk, People & Conduct
  • Academic or Professional Education/Qualifications: Bachelor s/Master s degree or equivalent Management/Technology Consulting experience
