Job Description

    The Engineer is responsible to assist the Deputy Chief Engineer in maintenance operations of the hotel. The position is required to ensure the maintenance of building, machinery, plant, furniture, fixture and equipment in all the departments of the hotel and meet the brand s standards, target customer needs, ensure associate satisfaction, focus on growing revenues, maximize the financial performance of the department and oversee the development & implementation of the departmental strategies.The Engineer is responsible to follow the hotel-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand s target customer, resulting in creating an iconic and profitable hotel.Assists the Chief Engineer in developing department goals and strategies and ensure alignment with the hotels business strategy.Assists the Chief Engineer in developing department goals and strategies and ensure alignment with the hotels business strategy, The Engineer is responsible to assist the Deputy Chief Engineer/Engineer in maintenance operations of the hotel. Implements plans to achieve monthly expenses (HLP & R&M) set by the Deputy Chief Engineer/Chief Engineer. *Implements capex, renovation and improvement plans as allocated bythe Deputy Chief Engineer/Chief Engineer. *Prepares the BOQ/ tender documents and comparative statements for various engineering jobs in consultation with the Deputy Chief Engineer.*Recommends cost effective solutions for resolution of perenial issues.*Recommends new energy efficient products for implementation in consultation with the Deputy Chief Engineer. Monitors the performance of existing equipments and escalate any deviations to the Deputy Chief Engineer*Manages and allocates resources to optimize cost in line with targets and conduct periodic reviews.*Maintains good relationship with the vendors and actively involves them in new product development and quality assurance.Sources best products constantly and aim to improve quality by developing purchase specifications for products.
