If you would like some flexibility then please discuss this with the hiring manager.Introduction:The Investigations Manager will assist the Senior Manager of Investigations in the development and management of the Investigations team and the successful delivery of casework. The Investigations Manager will operate in accordance with a defined investigations methodology and in close collaboration with business partners across the Bank and external bodies (e.g. Legal and law enforcement). The Investigations Manager will conduct interviews, take statements, gather evidence, analyse facts and prepare reports as part of the investigative process. The Senior Investigations Manager will lead and manage investigations or be part of an investigative team for larger or more complex investigations.The Investigations Manager will be located in Mumbai and provide coverage within the APAC region and elsewhere as directed by management.What will you be doing Investigations

  • Undertake investigations into matters referred by Barclays business entities in the APAC region.
  • Conduct investigations in accordance with Compliance Investigations methodology, utilising the dedicated Case Management System for the recording and management of casework.
  • Delivery of investigations: Undertake interviews, take statements, analyse facts, gather evidence, prepare reports and witness statements.
  • Participation in criminal, civil and disciplinary proceedings as required.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness during investigations to maximise recovery, minimise losses and take advantage of cost reduction opportunities where appropriate.
Team Responsibilities
  • Support operation of relevant management information reporting, analysis and appropriate feedback processes to the business and infrastructure, in conjunction with departmental governance standards.
  • Be pro-active in keeping informed of relevant investigations best practice.
  • Contribute to changes in Compliance Investigations procedures and activities.
  • Enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness in all that the team does.
  • Actively support and contribute to the on-going development of the Conduct Oversight global intranet and SharePoint sites.
  • Participate in and support the Conduct Oversight and wider Compliance Community and Diversity agenda

Stakeholder Management and Leadership
  • Build strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders, including but not limited to Front Office teams, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Credit, Human Resources, Finance and Audit.
Decision-making and Problem Solving
  • Highly capable of analysing data from multiple sources and applying objective judgement to reach a logical, fact based conclusion.
What we re looking for:
  • Relevant experience of undertaking investigations in either a corporate or investigative body.
  • Experience of working in the financial services industry, with a multinational company in another sector or in an investigative public body and with significant knowledge of the financial services industry.
  • Computer literate with knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Windows packages and familiarity with the principles and operation of case management systems.
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including with senior stakeholders (to MD level).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required to address both individuals and larger audiences and achieve buy-in and support for change.
  • Experienced at giving evidence in criminal and/or civil, tribunal and/or disciplinary contexts.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with demanding multiple deliverables, working alone or as part of a team.
