Job Description

    Job Description for Data Analytics Associate Role responsibility:
    • Reporting and performing analytics in model risk metrics
    • Creating ad-hoc business tools to analyze data and quickly develop reporting packages
    • Extracting information from proprietary python-based tools for data analysis
    • Monitoring key metrics, developing projections and identifying data quality issues
    • Performing variance analysis to understand the key drivers of threshold breaches in metrics, explaining material changes from prior periods
    • Helping design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver results to stakeholders and senior management
    • Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible
    Qualifications needed:
    • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance or a subject of a technical nature
    • 3+ years of work experience, preferably in Financial Reporting or Data Analytics background
    • Advanced skills in Excel, Excel VBA and Python
    • Proficiency with data mining/gathering and manipulation of data sets required
    • Knowledge of Tableau/Qliksense useful but not required
    • Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, and capable of challenging peers
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
    • Ability to create ad-hoc reporting for senior management
    • Proven track record for executing on special projects / assignments, often with little lead time
    • Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
    • Demonstrated ability to work across diverse groups to understand issue drivers and business requirements while collaborating with partners to build consensus and execute agreed plans
    • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
