The pricing infrastructure integrates with the market data infrastructure, with quoting and execution connecting to the markets through JPMorgan s low latency exchange connectivity infrastructure.Client Valuations in is a strategic platform for straight-through-processing for generation, validation and distribution of OTC Equities Derivatives valuation statements to Clients and to enable reliable and automated structured note pricing.The RoleThis open role is for a hands-on Java application developer with RDMM and Client Valuation team, based in Mumbai. Candidates will be expected to be best of breed individual contributors, possessing strong inter-personal, analytical and problem solving skills as well as proven track record of quality application delivery with technical skills in Java and Relational data base system (preferably Sybase).Key ResponsibilitiesThe day to day activities of the role will encompass the full project lifecycle, including:Interacting with stakeholders to understand the requirements and perform thorough analysis.Designing software and producing scalable and resilient technical designs.Coding, Unit testing and providing 3rd level support as and when required.Digesting and understanding Business Requirements and designing new modules/functionality which meets those requirements.Partnering with global team members from within or other teams to achieve successful business delivery.SkillsEssentialStrong hands-on experience and knowledge on Core and Advanced Java.Spring, Hibernate, Tomcat, StrutsJava Multithreading, Security and PerformanceWeb Service (REST)Messaging formats including XML, JSON, and Google Protocol BuffersMessaging TIB RV/JMSUnit testing frameworks (Junit) and MockingStrong OO design skills with good knowledge of object modelling and design patterns.Relational database experience (ideally Sybase).Competence in Unix/Linux environments.Bright and enthusiastic, self-starter, highly motivated, and comfortable taking the initiative.Pro-active, delivery focused technologist with a can-do attitude.Openness to new/different technologies.Keenness to understand and solve business related problems.Ability to solve complex problems, and a proven track record of high performance and deliveryExcellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate accurately, concisely and effectively in a global organization.Ability to deliver solutions, prioritize activities and manage time effectively.Experience working on mission critical high performance systems.DesirableCloud (GAP)Experience of working in financial services, in a front or middle-office environment.Agile development techniques.The right candidate will:Within 30 days be fully tooled up and up to speed with the code base, development practices and organization structure.After 60 days will understand the system architecture and design and be able to debug issues and start delivering business asks.Within 90 days be well versed in our end to end SDLC process and able to own application component for support and delivery.At the 6 month mark will be able to become go to technologist for the owning application component and suggest or implement ideas to better the system.2020 JPMorgan Chase & Co.
