Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. Practice areas include: Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT), Client Platforms, Core Technology Services (CTS), Financial Advisor Platforms, Global Banking Technology (GBT), Investment Solutions Technology (IST), Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST), Technology Delivery Management (TDM), User Experience (UX), and the CAO team. Global Banking Technology (GBT) is a dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firm s WM Technology Division. We are responsible for creating innovative technology solutions for the Private Banking Group (PBG), one of the strategic growth areas of the Firm, providing cash management and lending products and services to our WM clients. This includes state-of-the-art technology for a nationwide network of Private Bankers and product specialists who work with Financial Advisors to provide access to products and services such as online banking, cards, deposit products, residential mortgages, securities-based loans and tailored lending. Job Profile GBT Middle Office Technology is looking for a Java developer to join our team in Mumbai. The developer will be supporting existing application on Java/J2EE and be part of cloud transformation journey from On-Prem to private cloud eventually to public cloud. This is great opportunity for an junior developer to join highly professional development team, working in collaboration with developers, BA and business across the WM department. You will be working on the full application lifecycle in a fast-paced, high-stakes agile development environment, by partnering with global IT and business stakeholders of the current platform to analyze requirements, conduct business analysis, coming up with proposed designs for review by the wider team, implement and test the solution and finally provide training and support as part of the roll-out. Responsibilities:

• Has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills that are coupled with strong communication, anticipates issues and deals with them proactively.
• Has a good working understanding of Scrum methodology and DevOps implementations
• Deep familiarity with modern software development and design concepts encompassing a range of languages and platforms.
• Can own small to medium scale strategic initiatives/projects, enhances process standards and best practices and supports production issues for currently live systems.
• Understands business needs and priorities and provides thought leadership on potential solutions and the opportunities for technology to create positive impact on the business.
• Is team oriented, highly collaborative, works effectively to build strong long-term partnerships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across a variety of business and IT functions.
• Self-sufficient and shows ability to lead, given the opportunity
• Demonstrates a passion for technology innovation balanced with a pragmatic approach to developing and deploying solutions that best benefit the business.

• Hands on development experience with Core Java, REST services, Database/SQL, Spring, Azure Cloud, and Angular and related technologies (JavaScript, Node, Karma)
• Work as a team member in a Agile Squad with focus on hardening, isolating and monitoring platforms and ensure cyber and fraud risk is reduced.
• In-depth knowledge of test management software (e.g. ALM, Jira, Xray).
• Proficiency in usage of SQL queries for databases or large datasets.
• Expertise in working with XML, XSLT and SOAP, and JSON formats.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Communication and Organizational skills
• Team player with good communication skills to work effectively in a global team
• Unix/Shell Scripting knowledge
• Experience in working with quality assurance teams, preferably across multiple locations Familiarity with Agile frameworks.

Qualifications/Criterion

• Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Prior experience working in the Financial Services Industry.
