Job Description

Lead Consultant SQL ETL DeveloperThe position will be responsible for the development of architect and database design, ETL components, providing user access to the data via reports, data extracts, utilizing analysis tools such as OLAP, and for coding stored procedures. The candidate will be working with multiple database systems (Teradata, HIVE, SQL Server, DB2, and Snowflake) including Cloud system, both on prem and public. The roll will require the candidate to possess a strong understanding of database concepts including data warehouse, operational data stores, and data marts. Responsibilities will also require in-depth knowledge of ETL concepts and hands-on experience in implementing data integrations in multiple database platforms using custom development, scripting language such as Unix Shell, and ETL tool such as Informatica. Candidate must have strong SQL skills and should have experience developing data extracts and user reports.Responsibilities

  • Design stable, scalable Application database/data warehouse.
  • Identify potential improvements to the current design/processes.
  • Plan and co-ordinate the data/process migration across databases.
  • Participate in multiple project discussions as a senior member of the team.
  • Serve as a coach/mentor for junior developers.
  • Provide thought leadership.
  • Lead team in new initiatives such as cloud strategy.
  • Development of high quality database solutions
  • Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
  • Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements
  • Research required data and build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables
  • Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements
  • Develop procedures and scripts for data migration
  • Provide timely scheduled management reporting
Qualifications we seek in youMinimum qualifications
  • BE/B Tech/M Tech/MCA/BCA
Preferred qualifications
  • Strong Python, Spark and Java scripting experience
  • Hand on experience working in the Cloud (Azure/AWS)
  • Indept understand and experience working in architector design (logical and physical design)
  • Strong SQL skills and database programming skills including creating views, stored procedures, triggers, implementing referential integrity, as well as designing and coding for performance.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of RDBMS systems (e.g.: Sybase, DB2, Teradata, or Oracle).
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
  • ETL experience with Informatica
  • Organization, discipline, detail-orientation, self-motivation, and focused on delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience Unix/Linux programming (shell and/or Perl).
  • Experience in the Financial Industry.
  • Experience in DataStage/Erwin
  • Experience in building applications in Hadoop eco system (e.g.: HDFS, HADOOP, Pig, Hive).
  • Experience in Cloud database (e.g.: Azure, AWS, etc).
  • Experience with Scala/Spark
  • Solid understanding of T-SQL programming
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services
