Job Description

    Lead Software EngineerJob Locations IN-MumbaiRequisition ID 2hidden_mobile2 Category Research & Development Whats the role HERE is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join the Incident content group of our Dynamic Content organization. Your role will be to contribute to the design and implementation of our streaming application engines at large scale. These engines integrate and process billions of sensor inputs, drawing inferences on millions of potential traffic-related events in real-time across the world in over 65 countries and growing.We are looking to bring in new members with similar traits. Your contributions are expected to make a direct impact on the customer experience and the bottom line of the company. You will build up and use skills in Scala, Java, and cutting-edge cloud technologies to build solutions that solve our challenges. We expect you to demonstrate significant creativity to enable our continued growth in a scalable solution that strives for simplicity.     • BA/BS or higher in Computer Science or related field; MS in Computer Science is preferred
    • Strong programming skills in Java or JVM-based language, on a Unix/Linux platform
    • 8+ years of relevant experience in building production-grade systems
    • Expertise in cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EC2, AWS EMR, Redis) and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka)
    • Experience with Apache Spark
    Plus:
    • Experience with stream-based applications using Akka or Apache Flink
    • Experience with functional programming languages, such as Scala
    • Experience in building distributed systems - have built highly scalable, robust, distributed and fault-tolerant systems based on open-source technologies
    • Experience working with data science and Machine Learning teams to integrate these techniques into products is highly desirable
    • Experience using Google Protocol Buffers
    • Experience with BDD and TDD
