Job Description

Implement the Operational Plan with the agreed resources to consistently achieve the sales targets from identified accounts Continuously defend existing accounts and open up new accounts by preempting competition and market developments Value Addition Objectives * Intervene and facilitate solutions in case of an issue with any customer and/ or channel partners Ability to identify areas of operational improvements and get necessary support for correcting the same from the team and the BUH * Be self driven with very strong ownership of sales targets * Be a role model for the entire Sales Team Key Responsibilities * Sales Team Management- Lead the sales team by example and motivate them to achieve their target and submit their reports Ensure that the sales team works strictly as per defined sales and account management responsibilities Implement defined induction process for new sales joinees & monitor their progress monthly upto confirmation Ensure overall sales team productivity in the area of responsibility as per the recommended guideline Define and follow a time- bound process for correcting non- performing sales team members/ territories/ accounts Identify gaps in the team and also key sales- team members and work with the BUH to handle themSales Development through new accounts, new territories and additional products- Contribute to the Sales growth target by continuously identifying and creating new sales opportunities Coordinate with subordinates to ensure long term growth & retention of the new sales opportunities created Identify KOLs in active territories and explore oppportunities to leverage them for new business Work on tender opportunities and coordinate with tender SA team to bid and secure targeted products Provide inputs to BUHs on new opportunities or threats in the market as well as recommend countermeasuresDistribution Channel Management- Manage the distribution channels for the sales organization as per the defined processes Ensure adherence to contractual terms by channel partners and liaisoning agents Mitigate risk by ensuring adequate financial security as per policy to cover supplies to channel partners Monitor appropriate control of channel partners as per delegated powers to the team Undertake any stipulated audits for the distribution channel partners * Sales plan implementation with defined resources to achieve targets- Ensure sales activities are in complete alignment with the plan for achievement of sales targets Provide necessary support by working together with the sales team in key and challenging accounts Recommend resource reallocations to continuously achieve and exceed target productivity Ensure that sales in the area of responsibility as per the forecast for the BU are achieved / exceeded Ensure achievement of key sales performance indicators (e.g. focus product sales etc.) Bachelors Degree in Science/ Pharmacy/ Engineering (Masters Degree in Management Preferred) * Min. 5- 7 yrs. in senior managerial position at national level with responsibility for a team * Proven track record of achieving results * Proven track record of establishing relationship with customers and other business partners * Sufficient Excel skills for manipulating analysing and pesenting relevant data * Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect date, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
