Job Description

The incumbent would be a leadership role within the Asset Servicing team in Mumbai and would need to be a key contributor to building the Asset Servicing utility in MBM. As part of this role some of the key responsibilities of this VP would include the following

  1. Provide hands on leadership to the IB Asset Servicing team and oversight to the US domestic custody operations based in Bangalore in Bangalore and
  2. Ensure day to day operations are managed within the key operational parameters determined
  3. Build a path to standardize and integrate practices between the custody and investment banking operations within the asset servicing utility
  4. Identify and lead identification of technology and process change requirements to help the team perform tasks efficiently and within control parameters
  5. Represent the India IB Asset Servicing team with global stakeholders
  6. Be a strong member of the department leadership to motivate and support team.
  7. Communicate and influence behavior upstream and with partners to improve results

  1. Candidate should possess strong knowledge of Banking operations preferably in the Asset Servicing space.
  2. Leadership skills to motivate and bind a team across geographies.
  3. Adaptable to change and ability to manage change
  4. Relationship building with diverse groups and senior executives.
  5. Systems thinking.
  6. People management experience
  7. Excellent business writing and verbal English communication skills
  8. Proficient in MS office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and outlook).
  9. Strong control and quality management skills; accuracy and attention to detail is vital.
  10. Assertive and self-confident, comfortable when interacting with senior management.
  11. Excellent coaching skills.
  12. Good delegation skills.
  13. Well developed negotiation, persuasion and influencing skills
