Job Description

Key Responsibilities1. a. Payments (Electronics & Manuals): Transaction monitoring and processing. Serve as either maker , checker or authorizer of the transactions received. Ensure that transactions are completed accurately and that high value, urgent transactions are prioritized. b. Support: Complete accurately the tasks assigned for the process within the cut-off time. May serve as either maker or checker of the task. 2. Ensure that the checklist is followed and queue is monitored at all times. 3. Monitor and respond to email correspondence from In-country and both internal and external clients. 4. Assist in issue resolution and providing incident report in case of errors. 5. Escalate issues as soon as identified. 6. Complete all mandatory trainings assigned prior to set due date. 7. Be a back-up for other processes of ACCO as long as no segregation of duty issue identified. 8. Perform product verification tests (PVTs) on the system as and when required. 9. Provide process improvements to enhance the system and participate in projects call as and when needed. 10. Deliver on reports and administrative tasks assigned.Knowledges and Experiences1. Advance knowledge of SWIFT messaging and how money moves. 2. Advance understanding of the process and function as well as familiar with the exceptions found in the SOP. 3. In depth understanding of the process background and the associated whys. 4. Main task : Checker of process; Also able to do maker task as and when needed. 5. Handle authorization of payments as per assigned limit. 6. Good understanding of how the systems for the process works and able to use the software efficiently in day to day operations. Main system : MTS, LVB, DIP. 7. Does effective end to end queue monitoring and assists the team in the prioritization of transactions and tasks. Communication skills1. Replies to all queries received and able to provide in depth explanation as necessary. 2. Prepare and conducts presentations. 3. Initiates discussion with partner sites and maintains good working relationship. 4. Facilitates and lead meetings and discussions. Managing own and others emotions and being sensitive to no-verbal cues. 5. All team members to share ideas and express opinions and listen without bias. 6. Provides timely updates to teams and stakeholders.Risk Management1. Operational errors are kept at a minimal if not avoided. No error committed wherein the contributing factor is due to negligence. 2. Monitors the team quality of work to ensure that errors are avoided. 3. In depth knowledge on market practice and monitors effectiveness of controls and provide inputs for any gaps. 4. Ensures that controls are being followed by the team. 5. Monitors completion of the process checklists and that it is done timely. 6. Escalates to superiors with sense of urgency. 7. Able to write a detailed RCA for any issues. 8. Implements preventive actions for any errors that has happened.Managing Personal Performance1. Able to perform and complete daily tasks at the same time monitoring those of team members. 2. Develops an effective strategy in anticipation of workload issues. 3. Manages key deliverables in a timely manner. 4. Minimal supervision required and open to feedback from manager. 5. Reacts with sense of urgency and ensure that issues are closed out as necessary. 6. Effectively handles ambiguous, dynamic tasks & assignments; is energized by challenges of the unfamiliar.Customer Orientation1. Monitors services provided to customers and makes timely adjustments as required.2. Maintains ongoing communication with customers and stakeholders to determine their needs. 3. Encourages colleagues and teams to achieve a high standard of service excellence.Problem Solving & Decision Making1. Identifies root cause of problems.2. Able to identify and resolve advanced cases and seeks guidance for exceptional cases.Innovative Thinking 1. Submits ideas for process and system improvements.2. Submit draft for BRDs and RIFs.
