Job Description

    About Us: Phonepe is the leader in the UPI based payments in India with a market share of more than 40%. Our goal is to make payments so easy, safe and universally accepted that people never feel the need to carry cash or cards again. We believe India is at the cusp of a new mobile revolution, which will change the way we manage our money on the go. We see ourselves facilitating this change, through technology and dogged customer centricity. PhonePe went live in 2016 and crossed 5 bn transactions on its platform in 2019. In 2020, PhonePe forayed into diverse areas with the launch of insurance and super funds. Today we have a customer base of 260+ mn users and 16 mn merchants live on our platform.Job Objective: This is an individual contributor role, and one would have to own end-to-end accountability for building a strong demand pipeline across key accounts/industries/segments operating in the country. The incumbent will be responsible for not only adding new key accounts but also nurturing and growing them and ensuring an increase in the market share of PhonePe. In addition, the incumbent will be expected to generate revenue through multiple products launched as we move forward in our journey.Reporting Matrix: The role will report to the National Head- DemandResponsibilities: 1. Demand Generation/Business Development: Identification of key stakeholders on the partner side for the identified set of brands/industries. 2. Develop an understanding of the prospective partners business environment and prepare partner-specific contextual/relevant pitches. This would need one to be good with data/understanding in the Indian context and the basis of this one should be able to outline the value which PhonePe can add to this business. 3. Responsible for enabling Demand - Owns the top-line/task generation vs defined AOP as primary KPI4. Stakeholder Management: Pitch the solution along with the overall business proposition to the key stakeholders. This would need one to be comfortable with having multiple discussions with CXOs/Senior Management on the merchants side.5. Work with the PhonePe and Partner legal teams to finalize the partnership agreements. This would need one to understand PhonePe and the Partner business end to end and identify all relevant elements to be covered under the partnership agreement.6. Work with PhonePe account management teams and different functional teams on the partners side to finalize the longer-term business plans and model of engagement between the PhonePe teams and the partners teams.7. Map Competition: Develop a holistic understanding of the overall landscape in the country/developments/opportunities and help adapt PhonePes go-to-market plans in the space accordingly. To be able to take timely action, it is imperative that we monitor the market and be informed of the competitions initiatives. This will ensure that appropriate response strategies are being formulated and implemented.Requirements:1. MBA from Tier 1/2 campus with a good academic record2. Strong Sales experience of minimum 5 years especially from enterprise business3. Experience in handling/ generating revenue for the organization4. Excellent communication and influencing skills5. Problem-solving abilities with a strong bias for impact6. Strong ethics and discretion while dealing with customers7.
