Job Description

  • Support Web provisioning activities that are linked directly to Web and Middleware Perspective.
  • Testing out of the new designs and working with applications teams on specific migration related activities.
  • Participate and respond to design requests for various platform designs like Virtual, Cloud, Containers and Physical.
  • Configure High availability Clusters and deploy vulnerable free web infrastructure.
  • Assist IBM Cloud Pak conversion and WebSphere liberty base migrations as part of migration factory which would reduce exposure to WebSphere ND.
  • Create Clusters and Configure highly available JBOSS EAP, JBOSS TOMCAT, RHEL TOMCAT, RHEL HTTP and Liberty Base.
  • Solution design, technical migration documentation, capacity, design patterns reviews chosen as part of DC Migrations.
  • Assist Application teams to choose desired migration targets in line with strategy.
  • Certificate lifecycle management in standard web products like EAP, HTTP Servers and IBM Liberty.
  • Follow Engineering Standards for WebSphere, JBOSS EAP, IIS, Tomcat and JEE & .NET related application server technologies.
  • Should possess strong experience in web product customization and engineering.
  • Create common tools and process across all Web application hosting platforms.
  • Document and publish standards and procedures.
  • Consult with vendors & other teams to recommend best practices and tune packages during the build cycle.
  • Implement new technologies in line with bank strategy.
Business
  • Design and build the infrastructure required to support the Web Service.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and techniques.
  • Gather infrastructure requirements from stakeholders and deliver solutions to match.
  • Support end users of the infrastructure including training and knowledge transfer.
  • Recommend and maintain standards for monitoring and event management.
Processes
  • Should follow Web standard and internal process
  • Should ensure security standards are applied and potential risks in provisioning are highlighted
  • Should ensure internal project tracking and reporting is appropriately updated.
  • Should ensure all OAT checklist is followed for new builds.
Risk Management
  • Should respond to RFIs in provisioning
  • Should ensure there are no NCs in provisioning process.

  • Maintain effective relationships and deal openly with all key stakeholders, considering the needs of all stakeholders and influence decisions which, in the long term, are positive for customers and clients, shareholders, colleagues and the communities in which SCB operate
  • Understand technical constraints of live environment / architecture, support business clients in understanding any requirement versus cost trade-offs.
Other Responsibilities
  • When required, provide consulting service for initiatives requiring expert Web advice.
  • Keep current with new technical developments for potential use as solutions to requirements.
  • Have regular knowledge transfer sessions with Web Service stakeholders including Web Support team members.
