Job Description

As a System Admin with IBM, you will have the opportunity to provide high-value IT services and leverage our leading-edge technology portfolio in our global network. Your work has a direct impact on the day-to-day productivity of our business by ensuring integrity of, and access to, our most important resource data. You will need to visit the domestic client s offices / data centers on a daily basis or on an as-needed basis as part of this role.Responsibilities:
    • This role is an individual contributor responsible for on-site installation, maintenance and repair of IBM logo hardware, software and operating systems.
    • Primary technical interface to clients for the coordination of hardware and/or software support and delivery of operational services as required by the client.
    • Advise clients of preventive maintenance, configuration, operation and environmental factors which may impact product performance or impair client s IT operation.
    • Perform services activities such as systems assurance, installation planning, account management, systems-level problem determination, discontinuance and relocation of IBM systems and products.
    • Accountable to ensure a high level of client satisfaction with service delivery, technical support and operational services for the client account(s).
    • When critical situations occur, will be the IBM technical interface to clients and manage the situation until the problem is fixed.
    • Needs to have a thorough understanding of, and are able to articulate, IBM s technical support strategy.
    • Experience on cloud , OSS , Redhat Linux will be preferred
    • Ready to work on 24/7 shifts to support client requirement.
    Required Technical and Professional Expertise
    • Min 4-6 years of experience with experience in the following areas:
    • Knowledge of risk-based systems running on UNIX / LINUX platforms.
    • Expertise of OS Clustering, Partitioning and virtualisation.
    • Hands on experience for managing day-to-day AIX Operating System installation, migration and break-fix support.
    • Knowledge of SAN S/W & Storage Administration and integration with Operating Systems.
    • Knowledge of HACMP clustering, VIOS implementation.
    • System P Hardware installation and Break fix supports.
