Safety OfficerLocation: Ambernath (Monday to Sunday weekly off Friday).Experience: Minimum 8 12 years in chemical / adhesives industry (preferred)Formulate Environment, Health Safety Guidelines and Policies for PPL. Lead and strengthen and ensure strategic support to plant EHS activities. Oversee the implementation of Environment, Health Safety Guidelines across the organization. Ensure all statutory and Legal compliances at the plant levels. Investigate incidents and accidents to determine the causes and preventive measures and risk assessment. Monitor Safety Training at all level safe work practices and conduct periodic audits. Conduct EHS gap analysis at Plant level. Hydrant system checking. Conduct mock drills, Safety Committee meeting. Conduct Internal Safety Audit. Application for Hazardous Waste, Consent to Operate for new Projects, Submission of EIA Report. Fire Emergency Preparedness Ensure proper Installation, maintenance, refilling HP testing of fire extinguishers. Maintain requirements of Occupational Health Center (medicine equipments ambulance van etc.) Qualification: BE (Mechanical) preferred or B. Sc. / M. Sc. with Chemistry. Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Health, Safety Environment from a recognized Institute, and, the course is eligible under The Factories Act.
