Senior Development and Support Executive As a Senior Development Executive you will be responsible for helping the technical team deploy and support our conversational systems and online content development portal. There will also be opportunities to contribute to the development of new interfaces and modules around the core technologies. Essential Technical Skills:Excellent understanding of web architectures, technologies, and current developments Minimum five years experience in the IT sector Sound grasp of programming fundamentals and techniques Windows and Linux server administration Apache and Tomcat administration Server- side scripting (PHP primarily) Client- side scripting (JavaScript, Ajax, JQuery) Familiarity with building basic SQL queries Advantageous Technical Skills:Standards compliant XHTML and CSS Good grounding in Java Experience of version control systems (central and distributed such as subversion and Git) Other required skills:Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Good interpersonal and communication skills, including written documentation and interacting with clients when required Ability to train, mentor and direct other team members where appropriate Analytical and problem- solving skills You should be a self- motivated individual with an enthusiasm and ability to learn new skills quickly.
