Job Description

    *Role Responsibilities Resilience engineering is a discipline to run controlled experimentation by introducing various failure scenarios / random chaos on a software system in pre-prod/prod to build confidence in the systems capability to withstand unexpected / random failures and observe how the system auto recovers.
    • Collaborate with architecture, development, platform teams to understand the design and implementation of these distributed systems and work on the systems study state (baseline), hypothesis / failover scenarios.
    • Design, develop, execute/break, observe, report and manage scalable resilience libraries / frameworks for various integration product solutions (on-premises / cloud).
    • Architect, design, develop production load, performance tests.

    • Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment].
    • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
    • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.
    Our Ideal Candidate
    • Experience with networking on Linux, software-defined networking, network virtualization, load balancing, DNS, virtual private networks, firewall, proxies and their application to PaaS and IaaS topologies.
    • Experience with cloud migration, disaster recovery, high availability, virtualization, application/server s assessment and discovery.
    • Expert in ansible, Python | Java | Node, k8s, Cloud (AWS), chaos tools stack (chaos toolkit | gremlin | opensource | custom implementation).
    • Design thinking, agile way of working, building resilience systems best practices.
    • Experience on developing / testing any of industry standard integration products / solutions.
    • Experience with performance testing tools / libraries (open source).
    • Experience in any observability and monitoring tools (open source / industry standard products).
    • Certification would be a plus (k8s, AWS).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
    • Must be a strong team player with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a geographically disperse working environment.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentoring.
    • Must have flexibility in work hours.
    • Must be available for on-call support as required.
