Job Description

Purpose of the Role

You will be part of the Alepo Research and Development team. You will work on globally deployed Alepo products for 4G, LTE, 2G/3G, WiMAX, WiFi, and broadband services. You will follow agile methodologies and lean principles. You will be responsible for development activities for new products, feature enhancements, and maintenance releases adhering to guidelines and best practices. You are also responsible for maintaining high-quality standards of the product with minimal technical debts. You will research tools and techniques that can potentially boost productivity. You will also deploy third-party tools as deemed fit for your work. You will be responsible for delivering high business value within the shortest achievable timelines.

Skill Set

Education:

  • B.E or B.Tech in Computer Science/Computer
  • Engineering / Electronics / Telecommunications from an accredited college or technical institute.

Industry Experience

  • 4+ years

Responsibilities

  • Work with RD manager to understand business requirements and translate them into a technical design that will be reviewed and signed off by the stakeholder
  • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code with comprehensive unit testing
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problems
  • Design underlying database schema and interface
  • Peer review developer s code and provide constructive feedback to ensure consistency and quality of code

Knowledge Areas

  • Strong proficiency in C++, with a fair knowledge of the language specification, is a must
  • Good understanding of memory management and OOPS
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as CVS, SVN
  • Familiarity with the standard library, boost library, STL containers, and algorithms
  • Familiarity with databases such as MySQL or Oracle
  • Familiarity with language tools, such as Valgrind, gdb
