  • Work closely and support other Risk team members
Risk ManagementSupport the CCRO in embedding Group Risk Management frameworks in Country
  • Facilitate roll out of ERMF in country - ensure co-ordination and feedback loop with the Group teams on roll out
  • Coordinate with all Country RFOs to monitor any changes to RTF documents, Country Risk Appetite
  • Lead and co-ordinate the preparation of the Risk Appetite Document in line with the Group Risk Appetite with inputs from all Country RFOs
  • Embed the policy for Credit, Country and Reputational Risk and other risks as Principal Risk Types where the Risk Framework Owner is the CCRO
Governance Support CCRO in review and management of risk governance structure
  • Initiatives like making changes in Committee structures in-country
  • Manage the Executive Risk Committee/ Risk Settlement Committee/ Debt Sales Committee & other Risk Governance Committee Meetings, including pack preparation and secretary role
  • Co-ordination to compile and prepare CCRO report/ Country Dashboard to Region, ExCO, Risk Committee and Board.
Support Head, ERM Asia in risk governance initiativesRegulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Support Risk team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Hold Bachelor Degree or higher education
  • Strong management skills with ability to prioritize and handle a diverse area of work
  • The capability to operate independently and with the maturity to run with several significant initiatives in parallel
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to operate with minimal guidance and identify priorities
  • Demonstrated strategic capability, but also a capability to attend to detail
  • A team player with the ability to interact and work with various stakeholders of various level of seniority
  • Good working knowledge of risk management principles and concepts
  • Prior experience in risk and specifically in wholesale and operational risk is a clear advantage
  • Familiarity with banking practices and banking regulations and requirements
  • Ability to leverage resources across the organisation to complete deliverables.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to think innovatively
  • Strategic planning experience and capability
  • Good Communication/ presentation skills
  • Good financial analysis knowledge required
