Job Description

As a Senior Mobile Engineering Manager on Moneycontrol, you will play a pivotal role in building and leading a passionate mobile development team, that will work closely with the product teams to enhance and maintain Moneycontrols leadership position. You will work closely with design, product, business and editorial teams, with whom you will collectively own the vision for the future and helping the app evolve in the future. Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a team of experienced and passionate mobile developers (iOS and Android)
  • Lead and participate in technical, design and product discussions with leaders in the organisation and company
  • Understand the behaviour of users by analysing data and usage to recommend future strategy or make meaningful changes
  • Build a world-class team by hiring exceptional talent and building processes for strong delivery.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience out of which at least 5 years should have been in managing a team of mobile developers for a large consumer or business application
  • Good understanding of financial markets and key finance concepts
  • Hands-on technical expertise in Swift or Kotlin and strong understanding of mobile development practices
  • Strong understanding of software development processes including release management, quality control, continuous development/integration, etc.
  • Keen sense of design and customer experience to be able to suggest and deliver top-class user experience
  • Experience with payments and subscription is desired, though not mandatory
  • Ability to mentor team members and contribute ideas to the overall growth of the business
