Responsibilities Project coordination and database engineering on projects involving database servers and global standards integration, IT risk and process control, documentation and project resourcingResponsible for management and support of all application databases and environmentsDatabase backup, restore, consistency checking and repairEvaluating the current backup and recovery solutions and make recommendations for improving itMonitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvementsRespond to and resolve database access and performance issuesProactively manage business critical real- time trading systems in order to identify issues and potential problem areasInteract with various internal IT support functions, Development, Quality Assurance, Operations and external 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve problemsEnsure compliance with departmental policies (i.e. change management, IT security standards, release management, incident management) Work with all parties to provide services to agreed SLAWork through Annual Disaster Recovery testing and BCP planningManage Global Database EnvironmentShift work may be needed to cover support and system upgrade requirements Requirements Knowledge of MS Project, SharePoint, Linux Clustering, NAS, Citrix, Foglight, Windows Server, Solaris 10, Liunx 5.xSome shift work involved, starting from 6: 30 am for a week. Late shifts may end by 10pm or laterAnalytical, proactive, solutions oriented and work well with a teamGood interpersonal and English communication skills are essential,
