Job Description

As Software Engineer of JPMC, you ll have overall responsibilities to:Bachelor s or its equivalent from reputed educational institute in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; and 13+ years of experience developing financial technology.Must Extensively worked on performance-critical, low-latency and high-throughput, even-driven systems developed using Core Java technologies and able to demonstrate the same through modern coding practices.Ability to write highly efficient code using modern best practicesExperience and expertise in managing technology frameworks like Java, Spring, Oracle, integration frameworks like Kafka/MQ/JMSResponsible for development projects and initiatives which will include new functional requirements, process tuning and Break fixes.Work within prescribed Chase online Services development methodologies and standards. Adhere to high standards set by the firm related to Risk, control and compliance.Stay abreast of new technology and methods to optimize development for the enterprise.Actively participate in modernization journey which includes agile transformation, cloud migration, API adoption, migration to new age databases and many more.Should have very good understanding of approaches to architecture Micro Services, design patterns, systems integration approaches, infrastructural dependencies.

  • Provide advanced technical expertise in analyzing, designing, estimating, and developing software applications end-to-end (Build, Change, Support) responsibility and accountability for all delivery per project schedule.
  • Retain accountability for the overall delivery, Technical team management skills to lead technology teams with varied technology and functional delivery
  • Ability to own the end-to-end (Build, Change, Support) responsibility and accountability for all delivery.
  • Should be able to understand the big picture and have leadership acumen.
  • Should have working experience in Agile development environment. Should have managed diversified teams spread across multiple locations or regions and/or distributed workforce (Employee and IT vendors).
  • Should be good at building strong relationships with internal stake holders and should be a strong change leader.
  • Strong blend of systems development and people management competencies
  • Focuses on Customer, Result Oriented, Concerns for quality and standards, Leads and Empowers, Builds Relationships, Exercises Sound Judgment
  • Strong experience on Java 1.8 or higher
  • Good Exposure to client side web application development JavaScript, React.js, CSS
  • Spring MVC, Core, Boot, Cloud, ORM, Batch
  • Experience with event driven processing utilizing Kafka
  • Test driven development using junit, mockito/powermock or similar mocking frameworks
  • Experience in implementing CI/CD practices with exposure to technologies like Jenkins.
  • Apply secure coding principles and address web security concerns during Code/Peer Reviews
  • Database development including SQL, using ORM tools like Hibernate
  • Solid communication skills in all aspects (written, oral)
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to learn new technologies. Experience in modern engineering practices like Dockers, desktop container, cloud development.
  • Familiarity with log/metric collection and monitoring technologies, such AppDynamics, Splunk is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with building CICD pipelines using Git, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Fortify
  • Expertise in Cloud Foundry is a plus
  • Agile/Scrum software development experience is a must
