Job Description

    Job Title: SRE Responsibilities
    • Develop and maintain automation for building infrastructure using Terraform and scripting languages like shell/Python on AWS cloud
    • Building and maintaining production environments with scalability, reliability, disaster recovery planning, monitoring, security, and high performance.
    • Address client queries related to data and service issues
    • Coordination and escalation to appropriate teams internally or externally based on the issue
    • Responsible for application functioning and operational capabilities such as cloud services up time, interfaces with data providers
    • Providing support on a complex system by troubleshooting system configuration, hardware, and software related issues
    • Monitoring system hardware and software for proper delivery of data for customer operations
    • Responsible for production support, backup/restore activities, delivering a system solution that is optimized, reliable, and flexible
    • Responsible for data collection, analysis and control capabilities and helps customers improve operational efficiency
    • Application Support, release & change management, patching and upgrading cloud services
    • Partner with development team for continuous delivery of patches and major upgrades
    • Technical and process documentation
    • Daily operational readiness and produce service metrics
    • Knowledge of Market Data technologies is plus
    • Vendor co-ordination and escalation
    Requirements
    • Engineering graduate or Computer Science Bachelors degree with 5+ years experience with IT Infrastructure, Networking & Security.
    • Candidate must have solid experience with deploying, maintaining and supporting scalable cloud-based solution in a production environment.
    • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to work on an on-call basis and provide coverage during non-standard business hours including public/market holidays.
    Skills Required
    • Around 8+ years of experience in DevOPS/SRE and AWS
    • Good understanding of AWS cloud platform and its different services
    • Hands on experience with Kubernetes cluster (AWS EKS is preferred)
    • Hands on experience with EC2, S3, Load balancers and Autoscaling
    • Good experience on RDS and DocumentDB
    • Good experience on AWS managed services like SFTP, LAMBDA, Secrets Manager, ACM, KMS, SSM, IAM, Cloudwatch, VPC, transit gateway and security
    • Hands on experience with terraform and able to provision infrastructure as a code on AWS
    • Good knowledge on GIT/Github and CD tools like Jenkins/Harness or similar tools
    • Knowledge of any databases like MySQL, SQL, MongoDB or Eventstore DB
    • Hands on experience working with monitoring and logging tools like ELK, Scalyr or similar one
    • Experience in Python/Powershell/bash scripting
    • Experience in DevOPS CI/CD process and implementation
    • An understanding of securities markets and experience with investment management systems a plus but not required
