Job Description

  • Assist the bank in carrying out anti money laundry policy through performance of client due diligence on clients during on-boarding, periodic review, and trigger review.
  • Assist the bank in conducting Client Due Diligence (CDD) for accounts opened in SCB Taiwan and related activities.
  • Work with Relationship Managers/Client Delivery Team ( CD ) to understand the client, correctly assess the client s Money Laundering Risk, gather documentation from publicly available sources, liaise with RMs/ CD / other departments (wherever required) and produce high quality & timely CDDs.
  • Provide Relationship Managers with insights into clients Anti Money Laundering risk and develop an understanding of Industry sector, client information and other relevant factors that could impact the Bank s AML risk.
  • Be competent and familiar with all CDD policies and guidelines and complete all CDDs in compliance with the guidelines and policies as well as regulations.
  • Ensure there are no overdue CDDs and also ensure fast TAT in executing the CDDs and complete all CDD-related exercises within the deadlines.
  • Work closely with RMs/CD/CRM to continue improve the CDD completion efficiency and identify and flag out weaknesses.
  • Escalate any CDD-related issues to Team Lead and/or CET Head.
  • Conduct CDD at the highest level of quality to protect the Bank from regulatory risk which could result in financial and reputational damage.
  • Use SCB systems (i.e. eCDD+) to record, renew and maintain records of CDDs. Ensure that all CDDs submission / responses are completed and accurate in timely manner and the related forms (e.g. CDD, GICs, Deferrals) are completed properly, handled with efficiency and duly authorized.
  • Liaise actively with the CDD QC, CD, Relationship Managers and members of the Operational Risk and Financial Crime Compliance functions.
  • Constantly review the process, system and underlying policies to ensure that they are efficient, fit-for-purpose and provide feedback to appropriate authorities.
  • Assist in FCR/AML tasks and ensure outcome meets the minimum deliverables required for each case assigned.
  • Work as team to backup each other and provide professional service level to the daily BAU jobs and ad hoc project assigned.
  • Complete all mandatory e-learning on a timely basis
