Roles and ResponsibilitiesPURPOSE OF THE POSITION Responsible for supporting / administration / management the Oracle databasesand ensuring their performance, availability and securitySCOPE Production database support to ensure the highest standards of availability,resilience, integrity, security and performance required by our business systems. Administration with PL/SQL work. Design, development and administration of Oracle databases. Performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning of Oracle databases. Management and maintenance of back-ups & recovery procedures. Installation and maintenance of database server, replication and clientenvironments. Reviewing and tuning SQL and PL/SQL code. Designing database packages and procedures. Security and access control. Provision of support and assistance to development team in the design,development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications Creation and maintenance of SQL queries and routines Provisioning of (database) development and testing environments. Writing ad-hoc queries based on schema knowledge for various reportingrequirements. Required to deal with complex data models and object relational databasemapping, while producing complex reports. RESPONSIBILITIES Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and relatedproducts Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products. Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures. Take care of the Database design and implementation. Implement and maintain database security (create, update and maintain usersand roles, assign privileges). Perform database tuning and performance monitoring. Manage physical/logical standby database. Setup and maintain documentation and standards. Provide a strategic database direction for the organization. Plan growth and changes (capacity planning) Work as part of a team and provide support when required. Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation todevelopment / support teams. Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support. Maintain 100% uptime! QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESMinimum acceptable qualification BE / B.Tech / MCA / M.Tech / M.Sc (Computer Science, IT) Job ExperienceMinimum job experience in related field 2 Years of work experience in Oracle10g / 11g /19cKnowledge The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas: Should have worked on Unix, Linux O/SSkillsThe incumbent must demonstrate the following skills: Familiarity with various Oracle database specific technologies, tools and utilities. A good knowledge of the physical database design. Knowledge of ALL Oracle backup and recovery scenarios. A good knowledge of Oracle security management. Ability to analyze, assess and evaluate technologies / tools related to DB. Ability to understand and troubleshoot the problem quickly. Good documentation skills.TrainingThe incumbent must have undergone these trainings in his/her previous job OCP / OCA (DBA track) certification in Oracle 10g / 11g /19cTechnology Knowledge/awarenessThe incumbent must have this technology awareness/knowledge Should be expert in backup and recovery scenarios (Import/Export datapumpand RMAN) Should have knowledge and hands on experience on flashback.
