Our software forms a digital foundation that powers the apps, services, and experiences transforming the world.Designation: Sr Manager, Solutions Architecture, Cloud Management & Cloud Health, IndiaLocation: Bangalore / MumbaiThe Sr Manager of Solutions Architecture, Cloud Management & Cloud Health, India is responsible for leading a team of solutions architects in supporting VMware s Cloud Management & Cloud Health business for India. The successful candidate will ensure the day to day functioning, management, motivation, recruitment, scheduling and training of the Solution Architecture Team. The successful candidate must be able to manage the broad ecosystem of resources (both technical and people) to drive customer success as well as financial performance. The manager must be able to hire, motivate, develop, mentor and retain the highest quality Solution Architects who are capable of developing and delivering VMwares Cloud management initiatives. In addition to managerial responsibilities the candidate will also be required to assume individual contributor responsibilities in providing feedback to Product Management, acting as an evangelist, on key customer opportunities, industry events, partner development & support, PR, etc. around VMware s Cloud Management & Cloud Health solutions.Responsibilities:

• Manage a Specialist Solution Architecture team including; hiring, compensation plans, performance reviews, team/individual goal setting and professional development
• Build a collaborative internal ecosystem to optimize the opportunity for the Cloud Management & Cloud Health, including all stakeholders with a major focus on creation and sharing of best practice
• Lead and Manage customer pipeline, sales plays and successful completion of customer engagements
• Act as a major contributor to the development of a partner model and ecosystem to create new routes to market and significant additional revenue streams
• Affectively represent customer requirements and concerns during VMware product development and support life cycles
• Work closely and support VMware s Core Field Operations organizations to support and drive VMware s Cloud Management & Cloud Health solutions and architectures
• Provide expert technical architectural support and guidance for Cloud Management & Cloud Health opportunities
• Assist in qualifying and managing Cloud Management & Cloud Health implementations including proof-of-concepts and pilots
• Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of the Cloud Management & Cloud Health industry directions and trends
• Work collaboratively with Product Management and Engineering during the development, launch and continuing refinement of VMware s Cloud Management & Cloud Health products

• Sr Director Sales Cloud Management & Cloud Health APJ, Director Solutions Architecture Cloud Management & Cloud Health APJ
• APJ Sales Manager(s), Sales Director(s), APJ SE Leadership.
• Cloud Management Business Unit & Cloud Health Business Unit leaders as well as other BU leaders.
• VMware Cloud Management & Cloud Health Product Managers, Technical Marketing Managers and Product Marketing Managers.
• Professional Services Organization leaders.
• Other in-region SA teams.

Required Skills:

• Significant management experience with proven success building & managing world-class systems engineering or architect teams
• Experience with IT automation and orchestration tools. Experience with VMware s vRealize and CloudHealth solutions is a strong plus.
• Experience supporting large customers and/or teams practicing Agile and continuous delivery, is preferred. Understanding of ITSM eco-systems, Identity Access Management (IAM) solutions, as part of cloud governance frameworks and familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) security controls is important
• Strong experience enabling companies to transform themselves using the public cloud and the service offerings using AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle or equivalent clouds, and datacenter experience with knowledge of hypervisors like VMware.
• Be comfortable with change as an opportunity to thrive
• Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and possess strong leadership and troubleshooting abilities.
• Relationship building skills can establish positive internal relationships with colleagues and management peers
• Proven track record of selling services as part of a solution
• Ability to see and present the big picture and offer solutions to make it better
• Strong customer facing and relationship building skills
• Must be effective in leading a team of high potential systems engineers
• Strong listening and question-based selling skills
• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field or equivalent experience
• Post COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, possibility to travel up to 40% of the time.
