Job Description

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, support & handling of EMC VMAX, EMC VG2, EMC Data Domain, EMC RPA, NetApp Storage, CISCO / Brocade switches, EMC Networker Backup Solution with VBA & VADP.Essential

  • Degree or higher in Engineering
  • Must have Knowledge in the following areas of technology: EMC VMAX, EMC VG2, EMC Data Domain, EMC RPA, NetApp Storage, CISCO / Brocade switches,EMC Networker Backup Solution with VBA & VADP;
  • Ability to resolve 2nd, 3rd & escalation level issues.
  • Ability to handle service requests / standard & minor changes.
  • Ability to deploy new solutions, execution of project tasks.
  • Ability to diagnose & analyze Storage, SAN Switches, RPAs relates issues.
  • Ability to diagnose & analyze Backup related issues.
  • Ability to diagnose & analyze Storage & Backup in high availability mode.
  • Ability to troubleshoot the Storage & Backup related issues, RCAs on issues.
  • 3-5 years experience in supporting Storage & Backup technologies.
  • Excellent problem solving and planning skills.
  • Experience with production environment.
Desirable
  • Beneficial to have some knowledge of the Financial Services Industry.
  • Strong working knowledge in EMC / NetApp environments is a plus.
  • Understanding of Storage & Backup technology.
Core Skills:
  • Ability to resolve 3rd & escalation level support calls, project task execution within agreed SLA s
  • Ability to proactively maintain Storage & Backup solutions.
  • Ability to develop sound relationships with service team, team leaders, other IT functions and vendors.
  • Ability to update skills and knowledge relating to future trends in Storage & Backup technology and industry standards.
  • Ability to implement and support DR setup.
  • Technical assistance and support for junior team members within team.
  • Exposure to Storage & Backup performance tuning.
  • Excellent problem solving, planning and organizing skills, a flexible approach with good verbal and written English communication skills.
