Job Description

Tech Lead WASIBM Websphere Server v 6.1, 7.0, 8.0, 8.5, & 8.5.5

  1. Support should have good knowledge of IBM Websphere Architecture Principles & Designs.
  2. Good Analytical & Problem-Solving skill.
  3. Knowledge on performance / capacity tuning.
  4. Certification on IBM Websphere Application Server.
  5. Delivering end-to-end change management like review & implement changes.
  6. Delivering end-to-end incident management like to work on high severity/priority incidents & its resumption within defined SLA.
  7. Delivering end-to-end problem management like to perform root cause analysis, driving technical postmortem calls & permanent fixes. Updating KEDB.
  8. Delivering end-to-end query management like to address hotlines (calls & group emails), internal teams/management request.
  9. Delivering end-to-end vendor management like to log vendor cases & follow-up to closure.
  10. Delivering end-to-end configuration management to update inventory files.
  11. Delivering capacity management to review WAS performance, forecast application load with resources foot print & recommend requirements.
  12. Writing WAS scripts to automate manual reworks.
  13. Writing WAS scripts to automate manual work.
  14. Providing deliverables in the timescales as required.
  15. Must follow channels for communication with clients.
  16. Follow & implement escalation matrix.
Preferred skill
  1. Web servers - Redhat Apache & IBM HIS
  2. Redhat - Jboss EAP v 5.x and/or 6,
  3. Load Balancer - Alteons, F5, Cisco
  4. Knowledge of UNIX OS (Linux / AIX / SUN)
  5. Good knowledge of ITIL process or certificated
  6. Support should have excellent communication skill
  7. Ready to work in 24x7 Shift and Support environment.
