Job Description

Technology Policy Research Analyst | Reserve Bank Information Technology Private Limited (ReBIT) Technology Policy Research Analyst Navi Mumbai, India

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Statistics / Economics / Political Science / Public Policy / Behavioural or Social Science or a related quantitative field (or) Journalism/Communication graduates with a flair for technology
  • Master s degree in above disciplines would be a plus
  • 3 years of experience as a technology policy researcher or technology focused content crafter
    • Experience in tech policy / tech research preferably in BFSI sector
  • Should have proof of work in form of published papers, briefing notes or op-eds

    • Responsibilities

    This is an inter-disciplinary role, which is at the intersection of technology, banking, research and content creation.

    • Understand research queries, scope the requirement, estimate effort required, map timelines and create high quality deliverables within tight deadlines
    • Analyse research findings, draw inferences and conclusions in response to real time research queries
    • Conduct secondary research by collating a wide variety of inputs from different stakeholders, research papers and data available in the public domain
    • Help design surveys that target specific constituents
    • Assist in research of new technologies and provide recommendations in the form of a structured report or a position paper / white paper or a framework, depending on the problem statement
    • Support ReBIT s industry initiatives by creating high quality content in the form of presentations, documents for publishing on the website and social media, as well as for events and conferences
    • Track trends in BFSI, fintech, cybersecurity, technology advancements and regulatory developments in banking and financial sector
    • Contribute to research papers, white papers and blog posts on technologies and best practices with special focus on cyber security, data privacy, cyber awareness in the financial sector

    Technical Skills /Certifications:

    • Technology research acumen
    • Strong verbal/written communication skills
    • Independent thinker with an ability to work independently with little or no oversight
    • Ability to read voraciously on topics related to fintech, banking, technology, financial regulation and cybersecurity
    • Present research findings in multiple forms like white papers, frameworks, position papers, briefing notes, infographics and other artefacts
    • Skilled in creating effective visual representation in the form of charts, diagrams, maps models. Hands-on experience of tools like Mendeley would be a plus
