Job Description

OverviewDCC provides custody & clearing services to foreign investor clients investing in India. Our clients are based across geographies and cut across business segments. They are leading Asset Managers, Pension Funds, Insurance Companies, Investment Advisors, Trusts, Corporate, Sovereign Bodies, State Agencies and Charitable Institutions etc. J.P. Morgan DCC in India also supports DR issuances as a Domestic Custodian Bank for Overseas Depository Banks.The India Direct Custody team is responsible for end to end custodian services which range from, account opening, reference data, settlement activities corporate actions FX, reconciliation, client service & fee billing. Extensive collaboration with Product, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Tax and Customer Service is essential with in-country and regional functional partners to ensure operational capabilities meet high service quality standards.The primary responsibility of this position is to support the day to day operations within the corporate actions team for our global clients. Incumbent should possess knowledge on working of capital market & in-depth understanding of corporate actions. He should have the ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines. Can effectively work in teams. Liaise with internal clients, client services , external stakeholders & relationship managers.Key Responsibilities would include:-

  • Accuracy in processing in line with SOPs with no errors.
  • Identify & escalate all error/exceptions on identification.
  • Responds to routine queries/complaints
  • Be audit focused in all BAU activities.
  • Comply with the firms policies & SOPs.
  • Navigates systems quickly and accurately
  • Identify opportunities for process efficiency & implement in a controlled manner
  • Exhibit effective communication with key stakeholders.
  • Thorough knowledge of SOPs/related check points.
Qualifications:
  • Commerce graduates with good academic record.
  • 4 -6 years experience in an Operations role with relevant work experience in corporate action processing.
  • Good PC skills including Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, Power point, Access)
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Able to grasp/learn concepts and procedures quickly
  • Team player with excellent problem solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Keen learner with drive, enthusiasm and ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to work independently
